Which wards we cover in the former District 2
The District 2 address changed on paper on 1 July 2025. Under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 the area is now three wards, the local administrative units that replaced districts: An Khanh, Binh Trung and Cat Lai. People still say Thao Dien, Thu Thiem or District 2, and any of those names will do when you book, with the building name or house number.
Our office is at 72 Nguyen Co Thach in Sala. An Khanh and Binh Trung are scheduled regularly, including fixed weekly Up Home visits for pet households, 07:00 to 20:00 every day; in Cat Lai we book once a time slot is confirmed.
- An Khanh ward
- Homes with gardens: the Thao Dien villas and compounds, Saroma and SariTown. Apartments: Masteri Thao Dien, Xi Riverview Palace, Masteri An Phu, the Sala towers, Empire City and The Metropole Thu Thiem.
- Binh Trung ward
- Diamond Island, Estella Heights, The Global City with its SOHO townhouses, and the townhouses and villas of Lakeview City and Palm City.

Garden villas in Thao Dien and Saroma: what pets carry in from outside
Thao Dien is villa country: lawns, large trees, pools and timber walkways, and many families here live with young children and pets. A dog with a garden brings the garden indoors, as muddy paw prints after rain and nose marks on the low glass of the garden door. Tuoi Tre (June 2025) describes Thao Dien, Quoc Huong and Nguyen Van Huong streets as low-lying; when heavy rain meets a high tide, water stands 0.15–0.3 m deep for an hour or two, and mud on paws is hard to avoid afterwards. In a house on several floors, an Up specialist (the UpClean staff member who does the work) surveys first and works from the top floor down; in each room hair comes off first, stains are treated and fabrics washed next, and floors are mopped last.
- Muddy paw prints
- Let the mud dry, then vacuum. Low glass, insect screens and the doors to the garden are wiped during a deep clean or an Up Home visit.
- Natural stone floors
- Marble and many other stones are sensitive to acid, so pet accidents on stone are wiped only with a gentle product made for stone.
- Leather and fabric sofas
- On leather, hair sits on the surface but oil from the coat leaves a dull film, wiped as the material requires. In fabric, hair works deep into the weave: several vacuum passes, a light brush, then the vacuum again.
- Rugs, curtain hems, under beds
- Rugs collect more hair and stains than anything else; curtain hems and the floor under beds are vacuumed separately because hair gathers there in clumps.
High-rise apartments in Sala, Thu Thiem and Masteri Thao Dien: closed rooms and urine smell
Riverside apartments here are usually kept shut with the aircon running for hours, while the city government portal puts average relative humidity at about 79.5% and the rainy season from May to November. Those are the two conditions in which a urine smell shows: humid weather, and a closed room with the aircon on. In an apartment, pet hair and odour concentrate in the fabric sofa, rugs, mattresses and the floor along the walls.
- The sofa by the window
- Many homes stand the sofa against river-facing glass, and it is also where pets like to lie. Hair and odour cling to fabric faster than to leather; the gap between seat and back cushions is vacuumed separately.
- The litter-box corner
- Scattered litter and urine splashed outside the tray are an odour source that is easily missed. The floor, skirting and grout around the tray are cleaned at every Up Home visit.
- Beds
- Where pets sleep on the bed: mattress cleaning, with dust-mite treatment as an option, and bedding care at home.
- Floor-length curtains and balcony doors
- Curtains that touch the floor get scratched and marked by cats; low glass and the balcony door are wiped clean of nose and paw prints.
Urine odour: treated where it soaked in, not covered with fragrance
The smell lingers because urine soaks into sofa foam, rug backing or tile grout: the surface dries while residue stays below. A scented spray masks it for a few hours, but a pet still recognises the spot and may return to it. We find the stain, let a product made for organic stains soak as deep as the urine went, give it time to work, then wash and extract the moisture. Strong-smelling products such as ammonia and vinegar are not used, because to a pet they smell like urine. On an old stain the specialist tests first and tells you what to expect: the odour may be greatly reduced without disappearing.
- Fresh urine: blot with thick paper towel, pressing hard until the towel comes away nearly dry. No rubbing, no hot water, no hairdryer.
- Vomit or hairballs: lift solids with a plastic card, blot the wet part, wipe with clean water and tell us where it was when you book.
- Scratches on a leather sofa or curtains are physical damage that washing cannot restore; they are noted in the Up Report, the photo report sent after each visit.
- A cat that keeps urinating on a rug: cleaning removes the scent mark, but the cause may be health or the litter box, so see a vet if it recurs.
What it costs in District 2: item by item, with examples
There is no package rate. Each item is charged at the list price of its own service, with that service's minimum where the sum falls below it: fabric sofa 130,000 VND and leather 160,000 VND per seat (minimum 390,000 VND); sofa odour treatment 80,000 VND per seat (minimum 300,000 VND); synthetic rugs 35,000 VND and wool rugs 60,000 VND per m² (minimum 350,000 VND); curtains 40,000 VND per m²; Up Home 130,000 VND per hour for at least 3 hours. You receive a fixed written quote before any work.
- Sala apartment, one cat: odour treatment for a 3-seat fabric sofa, 2 × 3 m synthetic rug
- 300,000 VND + 350,000 VND = 650,000 VND; both lines are at their service minimum.
- Thao Dien apartment, dog allowed on the bed: 5-seat fabric corner sofa washed, king mattress with dust-mite treatment
- 650,000 VND + 650,000 VND = 1,300,000 VND.
- Thao Dien villa, two dogs: 6 leather sofa seats, 3 × 4 m wool rug, 30 m² of curtains
- 960,000 VND + 720,000 VND + 1,200,000 VND = 2,880,000 VND.
- Weekly Up Home visit
- 130,000 VND × 3 hours = 390,000 VND for a minimum-length visit.

- Quoted after a survey at home or from photos and video, through our odour removal service.
Your pets during the visit, and what to do about fleas and ticks
Before the visit we ask about the animals: species, how many, which one is shy or bolts for the door, whether any is under treatment or pregnant. While we work, pets stay in a closed room with water, or with a family member; our specialists do not feed, walk or handle them. Products are approved for sale, diluted as directed, never mixed and low in fragrance, and bottles and buckets stay out of reach.
- Drying
- At handover the specialist tells you which rooms are dry. A fabric sofa usually takes 4–6 hours; keep pets off it until the fabric is fully dry.
- Building registration
- Most apartment buildings in District 2 ask for outside staff to be registered with building management and to use the service lift. We send the specialist's name and photo in advance.
- Fleas and ticks
- Thorough vacuuming removes some eggs and larvae, but fleas and ticks shelter in floor gaps, along skirting and in pet bedding. That is the work of our bed bug and flea control service, carried out by UpClean's own pest-control technicians after a free survey and a written quote, while Up specialists clean the soft furnishings. Your pet should see a vet; we do not treat animals.

- Enquiries, quotes, booking confirmations and Up Reports can be in English. For a specialist who speaks English in your home, note it when you book; if we cannot arrange that, we say so in advance and support the visit by phone or message.
- A routine that works with pets
- For an apartment with one or two pets, many families keep a weekly Up Home visit for hair, floors, the litter corner and bathrooms, have the sofa and rugs washed each quarter or when stained, and mattresses and curtains twice a year. Up Home is cleaning only; it does not include feeding, walking or bathing pets.
- Booking
