House cleaning and deep cleaning in District 2 — Thao Dien, Thu Thiem, Sala

Ho Chi Minh City has had no districts since 1 July 2025 (Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15); an address now goes from the street straight to a ward, the local administrative unit. The former District 2 is three wards: An Khanh, Binh Trung and Cat Lai. The old An Phu ward was split between An Khanh and Binh Trung, so some developments along Song Hanh, Mai Chi Tho and Do Xuan Hop now have a Binh Trung address. Leases and title deeds from before the change remain valid, and a "District 2" address still works for booking.

Our office is at 72 Nguyen Co Thach, in Sala. We take deep cleaning bookings in An Khanh and Binh Trung every day, 07:00 to 20:00, and in Cat Lai once a time slot is agreed.

An Khanh ward

Formerly Thu Thiem, An Loi Dong, Thao Dien, An Khanh and part of An Phu. Towers: Sarimi, Sarica, Sarina and Sadora in Sala; Empire City; The Metropole Thu Thiem; Masteri Thao Dien; Xi Riverview Palace; Masteri An Phu. Low-rise: the Saroma villas, SariTown and the Thao Dien villa compounds.

Binh Trung ward

Formerly Binh Trung Dong, Binh Trung Tay and the rest of An Phu: Diamond Island, Estella Heights, Lakeview City, Palm City and The Global City, where the SOHO townhouses have been handed over.

In English, "house cleaning" can mean either of two services, and we price them differently.

One-off deep clean

One thorough visit for the whole home, from 15,000 VND per m² of floor, minimum 900,000 VND. It reaches what routine cleaning does not: door tracks, tile grout, bathroom limescale, old kitchen grease, dust on ceilings, fans and lights. Book it every 3–6 months, or before Tet, after a long trip or between two leases.

Hourly house cleaning (Up Home)

Regular visits that keep a clean home tidy from week to week: 130,000 VND per hour, minimum 3 hours. Cleaning only: no cooking, childcare, elderly care, live-in help or work at height. UpClean is not a maid or helper placement agency.

Which to choose

A deep clean if the home has gone a long time without one or the occupants are changing. Hourly cleaning if it is already clean, or for a single room. For riverside villas and townhouses: a deep clean before the rainy season, then hourly upkeep.

Apartments in Thu Thiem, Thao Dien and Sala often face the Saigon River through large glass walls. The city government portal puts average relative humidity at about 79.5%, and 80% in the rainy season, May to November. With river damp, closed windows and aircon running for hours, bathroom grout and wooden cabinets are the first places to darken and smell.

Thu Thiem, Sala and The Global City also still have construction sites. Fine dust comes in through door gaps and packs into balcony door tracks, and rain turns it into streaks on glass and railings. Weekly cleaning is no longer enough when:

• The balcony door is heavy to slide and its track is gritty with sand.
• River-facing glass shows dried water marks soon after wiping.
• Grout in the bathroom and on the service balcony has turned dark.

Thao Dien villas, the Saroma villas and the SOHO townhouses at The Global City spread a large floor area over several storeys, with stairs, balconies and roof terraces; villas often have natural stone floors and wide glazing. An Up specialist carries out a survey first and lists the work for each part of the house; the team then works from the top floor down, stairs last. The price covers the total usable floor area, stairs, balconies and terraces included.

Natural stone floors

Marble and many other stones are sensitive to acid, so we use only gentle products made for stone. Polishing is a separate service with its own survey.

Large glass panels

Cleaned where the specialist can stand securely and reach; higher panels need work-at-height equipment and a separate survey and quote.

Floor area multiplied by the rate for your type of home: 15,000 VND per m² for apartments, 17,000 VND for townhouses, 20,000 VND for villas, minimum 900,000 VND per visit. The areas below are illustrations, not taken from any development's records.

Labour, tools, products chosen for each surface, protective covers and the Up Report.

Not included

Sofa, mattress, carpet and curtain cleaning, aircon units, the inside of kitchen cabinets, fridge and oven, and stone floor polishing; each can be booked for the same visit at its own price.

Newly handed-over homes

A new home in Thu Thiem or The Global City, or one just fitted out, is booked as post-construction cleaning: cement, glue and paint need a different process.

Tuoi Tre newspaper reported in 2020 that nearly 6,000 foreign nationals of 102 nationalities were living in Thao Dien. Many apartments around Thao Dien and An Phu are let furnished, so every change of tenant calls for a full clean, and an empty home is the easiest to deep clean. Landlords should book between the outgoing tenant's departure and the new tenant's arrival; the Up Report can be attached to the handover record. For tenants moving out, its before-and-after photos make comparing the home's condition with the landlord clearer.

English

Enquiries, quotes, booking confirmations and the Up Report can all be in English. For an English-speaking specialist in your home, tell us when booking; if we cannot arrange one, we say so in advance and support the visit by phone or message.

Building registration

Many apartment buildings ask residents to register outside staff with building management beforehand. We send the specialist's name and photo so you can do that.

Keys when you are away

You do not need to be home. Leave a key with building management, reception or family: only the assigned specialist handles it, the times are recorded and keys are never copied. For smart locks we recommend a temporary code. The walk-through can be done by video call.

Payment

After the walk-through, by bank transfer or cash; a deposit may be asked for larger jobs and is stated in the quote. Invoices are issued on request under Vietnamese regulations, for individuals and companies.

Most apartment buildings in District 2 set rules for outside staff — ID at the lobby, the service lift, fixed hours — so we ask first and follow yours.

On arrival

Shoe covers on, a mat for the specialist's own tools, belongings photographed in place and returned there afterwards. Lobby or gate formalities do not count as lateness if the specialist arrived on time; if we are more than 15 minutes late, that visit's invoice is reduced by 10%.

Afterwards

Tell us within 48 hours of receiving the Up Report about anything that falls short and we redo it free of charge. Report damage with photos within 24 hours; where the specialist is at fault, UpClean takes responsibility under its policy.

Changes

Changing or cancelling is free with at least 24 hours' notice; later than that, a 30% cancellation fee applies.
