Where is "District 2" now, and which areas do we cover?
Since 1 July 2025, under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, Ho Chi Minh City no longer has districts. The former District 2 has been reorganised into three new wards: An Khanh, Binh Trung and Cat Lai. You are welcome to give us your address in either form — documents issued before the change remain valid, and we recognise both the old and the new names.
Our office is at 72 Nguyen Co Thach in Sala, so apartments and villas in An Khanh and Binh Trung are part of our everyday service area. Appointments run from 07:00 to 20:00, including evenings and weekends.
- An Khanh ward
- Formerly Thu Thiem, An Loi Dong, Thao Dien, the old An Khanh ward and part of An Phu. Home to Sala (Sarimi, Sarica, Sadora…), Empire City, The Metropole Thu Thiem, Masteri Thao Dien, Xi Riverview Palace and Masteri An Phu.
- Binh Trung ward
- Formerly Binh Trung Dong, Binh Trung Tay and part of An Phu. Home to The Global City, Diamond Island (Dao Kim Cuong), Lakeview City, Palm City and Estella Heights.
- Cat Lai ward
- Formerly Thanh My Loi and Cat Lai, with developments such as Vista Verde and Feliz en Vista. Please message us first so we can confirm a suitable time slot.
Why riverside air conditioners need cleaning more often
Ho Chi Minh City averages around 79.5% relative humidity, and the rainy season runs from May to November. In riverside homes in Thao Dien, Thu Thiem and Sala, that damp air — combined with units running for long hours — lets mould settle on the indoor coil, the blower wheel and the condensate tray.
Thu Thiem, Sala and The Global City are also still being built out. Fine construction dust drifts indoors and coats filters within weeks. A clogged filter makes the unit run longer to reach the set temperature, so cooling weakens and electricity use climbs.
- A faint musty smell for the first few minutes after switching on.
- Weak cooling — the room takes a long time to cool even at a low setting.
- Water dripping from the indoor unit, especially mid-rainy season.
- Unusual noise from the fan as dust builds up unevenly.
- Sneezing or a dry throat after a night in an air-conditioned room.

The units we usually find in District 2 homes
Each type of home in District 2 has its own air-conditioning set-up, and each unit type has its own Up Standard procedure. Your Up specialist arrives with the right tools, water-collection bag and a plan for reaching the outdoor unit, which keeps the visit short and your home tidy.
- High-rise apartments, 1–3 bedrooms
- Mostly wall-mounted units: 1–1.5 HP in the bedrooms (250,000 VND each) and 2 HP in the living room (300,000 VND each). Outdoor units usually sit on a service balcony.
- Penthouses, duplexes and large corner units
- Often a ceiling cassette over the living room or open kitchen — 550,000 VND per unit, around 90–120 minutes depending on how dirty it is.
- Villas and townhouses in Thao Dien and Sala
- Commonly floor-standing units (500,000 VND) and ducted ceiling systems (700,000 VND per indoor unit). We check the unit and vent positions before confirming the final price.
What it costs: examples for District 2 homes
These examples are calculated from our current fixed prices so you can plan ahead. With 3 or more units in one visit, every unit from unit 3 onwards is 10% off — the two most expensive units are charged at the list price. Your Up specialist confirms the number and type of units and the final price before starting; any change needs your written approval.
- Prices include labour, tools, professional cleaning solutions, protective covers, dirty-water collection, the outdoor unit where it can be reached safely, and your Up Report.
- The gas-pressure check is free. If a unit is low, your specialist quotes a top-up first and only proceeds with your approval — R32/R410A top-ups for units up to 2 HP start at 250,000 VND per unit; cassette, floor-standing or other gas types are quoted after measuring.
- Our online Quote tool lets you choose unit types and quantities and see the total straight away.
- 1-bedroom apartment
- 2 wall units (1–1.5 HP): 500,000 VND.
- 2-bedroom apartment
- 3 wall units (1–1.5 HP): 725,000 VND, including 10% off from unit 3 onwards.
- 3-bedroom apartment

Working with your building management
Most premium condominiums in District 2 have their own rules for contractors. Many ask residents to register visitors in advance, check ID at the lobby, require the service lift for equipment and limit working hours. Rules differ from building to building, so we always ask and follow the rules where you live.
When booking, just tell us your building and unit number. We send your Up specialist's name and photo in advance so you or the management office can complete registration. Time spent at the lobby desk after your specialist has arrived on time is not counted as lateness.
- Outdoor units on service balconies are cleaned when they can be reached safely; we never work outside a railing without an anchor point.
- If access equipment is needed, we tell you first and proceed only with your approval.
- Dirty water is collected in a purpose-made bag — never emptied into corridors, balconies or common areas.
How UpClean differs from a standard aircon service
Many budget services quote a low price for the basics, then add charges once they arrive. We work the other way round: a fixed price upfront, every step done properly, and an Up Report that lets the results speak for themselves.
- Price
- Fixed and confirmed before booking; nothing extra without your written approval.
- Your home
- Shoe covers, a tool mat and covers over walls, floors and furniture; everything returned to its place.
- Technique
- The indoor coil is rinsed at a pressure that protects the aluminium fins; the blower wheel and condensate drain are cleaned too.
- Gas
- Free pressure check, recorded in your report; no top-up without a quote.
- Transparency
- An Up Report with before-and-after photos of filters and coils, plus technical notes, sent by Zalo or WhatsApp.
- Warranty
- 90 days for leaks, unusual noise or weaker cooling caused by the cleaning.
- Punctuality
- If we are more than 15 minutes late for a confirmed appointment, that visit is 10% off.
- Language
- Advice, booking confirmation and your Up Report in English or Vietnamese — convenient for international residents in Thao Dien and An Phu.
