District 2 today, and where we clean chairs

Districts ceased to exist in Ho Chi Minh City on 1 July 2025. Under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 the former District 2 became three wards, the city's local administrative units: An Khanh, Binh Trung and Cat Lai, with the old An Phu ward split between the first two. Papers drawn up before that date are still valid, so book with a District 2 address if that is the one you know.

Our office is in the Sala urban area, at 72 Nguyen Co Thach in An Khanh ward. Chairs are cleaned in An Khanh and Binh Trung on a regular schedule, for homes and workplaces alike, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day.

An Khanh ward — regular service
Thu Thiem, Thao Dien, An Loi Dong, the old An Khanh and part of An Phu. Homes at Empire City, The Metropole Thu Thiem, Sala, Masteri Thao Dien and Xi Riverview Palace, and the villas of Thao Dien and Saroma; small offices in Thu Thiem and An Phu, and shophouses in Sala and Thu Thiem.
Binh Trung ward — regular service
Binh Trung Dong, Binh Trung Tay and the rest of An Phu: Diamond Island, Estella Heights, Lakeview City, Palm City and The Global City, where the SOHO townhouses have been handed over.
Cat Lai ward — by arrangement
The former Thanh My Loi and Cat Lai, with Vista Verde and Feliz en Vista. The time is confirmed when you contact us.

Dining chairs and armchairs in District 2 homes: where the dirt sits

Each day of sitting leaves a little more sweat, skin oil, crumbs and fine dust in the covering. Many apartments in Thu Thiem, Thao Dien and Sala have large glass walls facing the river, and a leather chair that stands against sunny glass dries out and stiffens. From May to November, when relative humidity is around 80% according to the city government portal, the foam inside a fabric chair holds damp and can begin to smell.

Scrubbing a fabric chair with a wet cloth and soap often backfires: the fabric dries with tide marks, leftover soap makes it soil again sooner, and water in the foam is slow to leave. An extraction machine takes most of the dirty water back out while it cleans. Signs that a deep clean is due:

  • The seat, headrest and armrests have turned visibly darker than the back.
  • You notice a smell on sitting down, most of all on rainy days.
  • Leather feels dry, and fine cracks are starting along the seat edge.

Offices in Thu Thiem and An Phu, shophouses in Sala and The Global City

In a workplace, an undisturbed working day counts for as much as clean chairs. The survey is free: chairs are counted by type, heavily stained ones are noted, and we suggest a slot in the late afternoon or at the weekend. One group of rooms is finished before the next is started, and a chair that has to be moved is labelled so that it goes back to its own desk.

A shophouse in Sala, Thu Thiem or The Global City often has a business on the ground floor and a home upstairs. Both go into one visit: the customer area is finished before opening time or on a day off, and the family's dining chairs and armchairs follow.

Small offices
Swivel chairs with felt or mesh backs, meeting-room chairs and executive chairs. Documents stay where they are, drawers and personal cabinets are not opened, and any restricted area is agreed beforehand.
Co-working spaces
Each chair is shared by many people. For a crowded office, about six months is a sensible interval for chairs in daily use.
Restaurants and cafés
On upholstered dining chairs and padded bar stools, food, grease and sauce collect along the front edge of the seat. The visit is set outside serving hours, with time left for the chairs to dry.
Meeting rooms and reception
Chairs that visitors see are cleaned most thoroughly; for chairs few people sit on, vacuuming and treating the odd stain is enough.

How each material is cleaned

The Up specialist, a trained and identity-verified member of our staff, looks at the covering, the stitching, the care label and the chair's moving parts, then tests a hidden spot for colour-fastness before choosing a method.

Fabric and felt
After deep vacuuming and treatment of individual stains comes spray extraction: the machine sprays solution into the weave and sucks it out again at once, dirt included, so little water has time to reach the foam.
Velvet
A low-moisture clean, then brushing with the pile so that it neither streaks nor lies flat in patches.
Leather and faux leather
No wet-washing. A product made for leather, a soft brush along the seams, a fine cloth to wipe, and a conditioning coat to keep the surface supple.
Mesh backs
Brushed and vacuumed, then wiped with a cloth that is only just damp. The plastic frame and the recline mechanism have to stay dry, so very little water is used.
Suede, nubuck and silk
Sensitive to water. Send close-up photos and the label; we confirm the job once we have a method that is safe for the material.
Frames, legs and castors
Plastic, wood and metal parts are wiped down; wood is not polished or repainted.

Chair cleaning prices in District 2, with worked examples

Chairs are charged one by one. Office chairs: 45,000 VND with a fabric, felt or mesh covering, 75,000 VND for leather and executive chairs. Dining chairs: 40,000 VND for a chair or stool without a back, 55,000 VND for an upholstered chair with a back, 65,000 VND in leather. Armchairs: 130,000 VND in fabric, 160,000 VND in leather. An office with at least 50 fabric, felt or mesh chairs pays 40,000 VND for each of them, and no visit is charged below 390,000 VND.

For a written all-inclusive price, message us on WhatsApp or Zalo with a photo of the whole area, close-ups of the stains and a count of each type of chair. The type and covering of a chair set its rate; the number of chairs, how they are spread across floors and how soiled they are decide how long the visit takes. The price changes only with your written confirmation.

Apartment in Sala: six upholstered dining chairs with backs
6 × 55,000 VND = 330,000 VND; the minimum applies, so the visit is 390,000 VND.
Villa in Thao Dien: eight upholstered dining chairs and two fabric armchairs
8 × 55,000 VND + 2 × 130,000 VND = 700,000 VND.
Office in Thu Thiem: 20 felt or mesh swivel chairs and two executive chairs
20 × 45,000 VND + 2 × 75,000 VND = 1,050,000 VND.
Office with 60 fabric, felt or mesh chairs
Above the 50-chair threshold, so 40,000 VND each: 2,400,000 VND.
Café in a shophouse: 24 upholstered dining chairs and six backless counter stools
24 × 55,000 VND + 6 × 40,000 VND = 1,560,000 VND.

Building access, drying time and what we do not do

Most District 2 apartment buildings set rules for service providers: registration with building management beforehand, ID at the lobby, the service lift for equipment and fixed working hours. For an office, we settle three things with your administrator before the day: entry to the building, the lift for our equipment, and the points where we may draw power and water.

Fabric and felt are dry within a few hours, longer where the padding is thick or the room is closed up; leather and faux leather hardly get damp and can be sat on sooner. Air the room and stay off the fabric until it has dried.

We clean and condition, and nothing else. Re-dyeing leather, patching tears, replacing foam and repairing a height mechanism or castors are outside the service; what we see is written into the Up Report, the photo report sent after every visit. A fresh stain usually lifts visibly, whereas an old one, or ink, sometimes only fades.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about chair cleaning in District 2

How much does office chair cleaning cost in District 2?+

45,000 VND for a chair covered in fabric, felt or mesh, and 75,000 VND for a leather or executive chair. Offices with at least 50 fabric, felt or mesh chairs are charged 40,000 VND for each. Every visit has a minimum of 390,000 VND, and you have the price in writing beforehand.

What do dining chairs and armchairs cost?+

An upholstered dining chair with a back is 55,000 VND, a leather one 65,000 VND, and a chair or stool without a back 40,000 VND; an armchair is 130,000 VND in fabric and 160,000 VND in leather. Eight upholstered dining chairs, for example, come to 440,000 VND.

Do you take the chairs away?+

No. The extraction machine comes to you and the chairs are cleaned where they stand. The space around them is covered, and each chair ends up back at its own desk or table.

Will cleaning get the smell out of felt office chairs?+

Mostly, because the smell tends to come from sweat, food and damp trapped in the foam. Once deep vacuuming, spot treatment and extraction have pulled that out of the fibres, it drops clearly; the room then needs airing until the foam has dried right through. A smell that set in years ago may linger faintly, and we say so in the Up Report.

Can leather chairs be washed, or wiped with alcohol?+

Neither. Water is not used to wash leather or faux leather: the specialist wipes it with a leather product and very little moisture, then conditions it. Alcohol and washing-up liquid dry the surface and encourage cracks at the seat edge; day to day, a soft, slightly damp cloth is enough.

Do you issue VAT invoices for companies?+

Yes. Invoices are issued on request under Vietnamese regulations, for individuals and companies, by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited (tax code 0316973414). You pay once the work has been checked, by bank transfer or cash.
