How a deep clean differs from daily cleaning
Daily cleaning keeps a washroom tidy and dry: basins, floors, mirrors, bins and supplies. After a few weeks, the things a cloth cannot remove begin to show: limescale on taps and glass, darkened grout, staining under the toilet rim and drain grates clogged with hair and soap residue.
A deep clean is a dedicated visit for exactly those areas, with descaling products suited to each material, grout brushes and enough contact time for the products to work. It complements daily cleaning by your household or cleaner; it does not replace it.
What we deep clean
- Limescale
- Hard-water deposits on taps, showers, fittings and glass are softened with a descaler and wiped away; plated surfaces are tested first.
- Grout
- Wall and floor grout is scrubbed with dedicated brushes. Whitening and sealing grout belong to our Tile & grout cleaning service and are quoted separately. Cracked or missing grout needs regrouting, which we do not carry out; we photograph it so you can call the right trade.
- Toilets and urinals
- Under the rim, around the base, the seat hinges and the surrounding floor, where urine residue causes most odours.
- Glass and mirrors
- Water marks and soap scum are removed. Glass etched by hard water over many years may not return to full clarity; we say so at the survey.
- Floor drains
- Covers and grates are lifted, hair and residue removed and the reachable part cleaned by hand. We do not unblock pipework.
- Odours
- Treated once the residue has been cleaned away. If the cause is a trap, seal or pipe, we report it so you can call a plumber.
How much does a washroom deep clean cost?
There is no separate listed rate for washroom deep cleaning, because the work varies widely between one apartment bathroom and a multi-cubicle washroom in a gym. We send a fixed written quote after seeing photos or a free on-site survey; nothing is added without your agreement.
As a reference point, our Disinfection & odour removal price list includes a bathroom odour check and deodorising clean at 450,000 VND per room, with a minimum of 800,000 VND per visit. That item covers the toilet base, grout, shower screen joints and drain covers, followed by odour treatment. Full descaling of glass and fittings, and multi-cubicle washrooms, fall outside that item and are priced in your fixed quote.
How often should a washroom be deep cleaned?
- Homes
- Quarterly or twice a year, often together with a home deep clean.
- Offices
- Monthly or quarterly, depending on how many people share each washroom.
- Clinics, spas, salons
- Monthly; the washroom is where customers judge a business most.
- Gyms and yoga studios
- Monthly or more often for showers and changing rooms, where damp and soap residue build up quickly.
What the service does not cover
- Plumbing repairs: traps, seals, taps, cisterns or leaks. We note them in the Up Report so you can call a plumber.
- Unblocking toilets or pipes, and septic tank emptying.
- Waterproofing, re-grouting, replacing tiles or redecorating.
- Grinding or polishing natural stone; see our Stone floor polishing service.
- Clinical waste collection or instrument sterilisation in healthcare premises.
- Supplying consumables such as paper, soap or air fresheners.
Scheduled washroom care for offices, clinics and spas
For business premises we work outside your customer hours, between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, so washrooms are dry and ready before you open. We assign the same specialist whenever the schedule allows and send their name and photo before each visit.
Washrooms are usually the first item on a recurring care schedule, alongside aircon maintenance, chair and carpet cleaning and a quarterly deep clean. For the full picture and a free survey request form, see our Recurring care hub (upclean.vn/en/recurring-care).
