District 7 is now four wards: where we take plant-care bookings
Since 1 July 2025 the city has been organised into wards in place of districts, and Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 divides the old District 7 into Tan My, Tan Hung, Tan Thuan and Phu Thuan. Phu My Hung, a planned urban area of 433 hectares, sits in Tan My and Tan Hung. Use whichever building or estate name you are used to when you book.
Phu My Hung is where our specialists work regularly, any day between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Bookings are accepted in Tan Thuan and Phu Thuan as well, with the time slot confirmed when you book.
- Tan My ward
- The former Tan Phu ward and what remained of Phu My: Midtown, Riviera Point, Crescent Lake, Crescent Mall and SECC.
- Tan Hung ward
- The former Tan Phong, Tan Quy, Tan Kieng and Tan Hung wards: Sunrise City, Him Lam by Kenh Te canal, Sky Garden, Happy Valley, and the area round SC VivoCity and RMIT University.
- Inside Phu My Hung
- Apartment towers such as Scenic Valley and Riverpark; the My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien villas; ground-floor showrooms, shops and offices on Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien.
- Tan Thuan and Phu Thuan wards
- Eco Green Saigon in Tan Thuan; Q7 Saigon Riverside and the riverside residential areas in Phu Thuan. Please contact us first.
Offices, showrooms and lobbies in Phu My Hung: who looks after the plants?
Phu My Hung was planned with homes set among offices, schools and shopping centres. Along Nguyen Van Linh, Ton Dat Tien and Nguyen Luong Bang many ground floors are showrooms, shops and customer-facing offices, and the plants in the lobby and at reception are part of what a visitor notices first.
In many offices, though, watering belongs to no one in particular: some weeks the plants are forgotten, other weeks everyone gives them a splash. On a recurring contract UpClean takes the whole task on, with an agreed schedule and task list.
- Visit times
- Outside peak hours, or within the hours the building lets outside contractors work.
- A plant list by location
- Lobby, reception, meeting rooms, work areas: every pot is on the list and followed individually.
- Up Report
- Sent after each visit, so the office administrator knows the state of the plants without walking round.
- Paperwork
- Payment follows acceptance of the work, and VAT invoices are issued.
- Replacements
- Made only as the contract provides and after approval; new plants, pots and potting mix are quoted separately.
Apartments at Sunrise City, Midtown and Scenic Valley: what indoor plants need besides water
Sunrise City, Midtown, Riviera Point, Scenic Valley and Riverpark are all high-rise towers. Behind their glass, a house plant gets most of its light through the windows and lives in air dried by long hours of aircon, with very little breeze.
Care is therefore more than watering. Indoor plants mostly weaken through excess water or a poor position and rarely through drought, so the Up specialist, a trained and identity-verified member of UpClean's staff, inspects first and only then decides whether to water.
- A pot far from the window: leggy growth with small, pale leaves. Move it nearer the light or switch to a shade-tolerant plant such as snake plant, ZZ plant or pothos.
- A pot against west-facing glass: leaf edges may scorch in the dry season, so it is repositioned or turned at intervals.
- A pot in the aircon's airflow: drooping leaves with crisp edges; watering and position are adjusted.
- A root-bound plant, with roots at the surface or through the drainage hole: it goes into a larger pot with a loose, free-draining mix.
- White spots, webbing or tiny insects: set that pot apart and send the specialist a photo before using any product yourself.
Balconies, penthouse roof terraces and villa porches: potted plants outdoors
A balcony high up catches reflected sun and strong wind, so pots dry out much faster than indoors. The specialist stands each pot securely, off the railing, and waters so that nothing spills to the floor below. For repotting, a sealed saucer and a lightweight mix are preferred, within the building's rules on balcony items.
Sky Garden has penthouses with a roof terrace or a wide balcony, where plants take sun and rain directly, and the villas of My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien have porches and yards. The city government portal gives May to November as the rainy season. In those months an outdoor pot waterlogs when its saucer fills, so it gets less water; in the dry season small pots are checked more often.
- Cacti and succulents: full sun, a fast-draining mix and watering only once the soil has dried right out.
- Fruit trees in pots, such as lime, can join the list after the survey. We make no commitment on flowering or fruit yield.
- Saucers and pots holding water are easy breeding places for mosquitoes, so standing water is emptied at every visit.
- Large trees in the ground are handled by our tree pruning and felling service.
Each visit: the task list and a record for every pot
Every address has its own record sheet: species, position, water given and date of the last feed, pot by pot. It keeps the care the same whoever attends and makes an odd change in a plant easier to catch early.
- Soil moisture measured at the surface and below; only plants that need water get it, and saucers are emptied.
- Yellow and wilted leaves and dead stems removed; overlong shoots trimmed.
- Dust wiped from large leaves with a clean damp cloth; pots, saucers and the surrounding area cleaned.
- Fertiliser on each plant group's own cycle, in moderate doses; none for a plant with waterlogged roots.
- Undersides of leaves, leaf joints and the base examined for mealybugs, spider mites and fungal disease, with spot treatment.
- Repotting or topping up the mix once roots fill the pot; pots turned and repositioned for light.
- A protective sheet goes down first for pruning and repotting, and floors and shelves are wiped afterwards.
International households: building rules, keys while you travel, and English
Apartment and office towers in Phu My Hung all set rules for outside service companies, typically staff registered in advance, ID shown, the service lift used and work kept to permitted hours. We check each building's rules and send you the specialist's name and photo before every appointment. The area is a multicultural one, with the Taipei School, the Japanese School, the Canadian International School and the Korean International School.
- While you are away
- Long trips, in the dry season above all, are when plants wilt fastest. We visit on the agreed dates to check, water, empty saucers and clear fallen leaves, and you get an Up Report each time.
- Keys and access
- The visit dates, how the key or access card changes hands, registration with management and the rooms the specialist may enter are set down in writing first. A key can stay with management or your representative.
- Language
- Advice, quotes, confirmations and Up Reports come in English if you wish. An English-speaking specialist at home depends on the schedule: ask when booking, and if we cannot provide one you will hear in advance and be supported by phone or message.
What plant care costs in District 7: one all-inclusive quote per address
We publish no rates for this service and give no figure before seeing the plants. The free survey, at your address or from photos and video, establishes how many pots there are, which species, where they stand, the light and aircon they get and how they are watered today. We then propose how often to visit and what to do each time, and send an all-inclusive quote in writing. Separately charged work, such as repotting or supplying new plants, is listed, and nothing extra is charged without your written agreement.
If a care task is not up to standard, it is redone free of charge within 48 hours. Plant replacement and any commitment about the plants themselves are governed by your contract; a plant in decline is reported early so that you can choose what to do, and we do not promise a replacement in every case.
- Number and size of pots: tall plants in big lobby planters take more wiping and pruning than desk plants.
- Number of visits: weekly, fortnightly or by season, according to species and position.
- Additional work: repotting, new mix and replacement plants are priced separately and need approval.
- Access: plants placed high up, multi-storey lobbies, or visits outside office hours.
- To book, send photos of the plants and where they stand, with your building name, to 0968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo.
