The four wards that replaced District 7, and where we work
On paper, District 7 is now four wards: Tan Thuan, Phu Thuan, Tan My and Tan Hung. A ward is the local unit that took over from the districts on 1 July 2025, under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15. Phu My Hung, the urban area planned over 433 hectares for about 100,000 residents, lies across Tan My and Tan Hung.
Those two wards are where Up specialists, UpClean's trained and identity-verified staff, work regularly, from 7:00 in the morning to 8:00 in the evening, seven days a week. We also come to Tan Thuan and Phu Thuan; contact us first so that we can confirm a time.

Seven wet months: what the rainy season does to pillows and duvets
The rainy season in Ho Chi Minh City lasts from May to November. The city government portal gives average rainfall of about 1,949 mm a year and relative humidity of about 80% in the wet months, and many District 7 developments stand beside the Saigon River or the Kenh Te canal. For seven months, pillow and duvet fillings take up damp from the room as well as sweat, with hardly a sunny day to dry them.
In Phu My Hung villas and townhouses, ground-floor bedrooms and guest rooms often stay shut for days, and bedding stored there picks up a damp smell before anyone has slept in it. In a high-rise apartment, bedding in nightly use gathers sweat, flakes of skin, fine dust and mites. Typical moments to book:
- The spare duvet smells damp when it comes out of the wardrobe.
- A pillow has yellowed on the side you sleep on.
- The rains are about to begin, or Tết or a long family visit is coming up.
What a family can wash at home, and what is worth booking
Phu My Hung is often described as a multicultural neighbourhood, with the Taipei School, the Japanese School, Canadian International School and Korean International School inside it. A household with school-age children already runs its washing machine hard. Sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers and most mattress protectors belong in that routine.
The inners are another matter. They are bulky, the filling clumps in a soak, and filling put back on the bed while still damp inside starts to smell. A booking makes sense when there are several beds, or when the inners have gone a long time without cleaning.
- You, at home
- Sheets and pillowcases weekly, the duvet cover every one to two weeks, the mattress protector monthly: gentle cycle, a good spin, and fully dry before use.
- The Up specialist
- Pillow inners, duvet inners and protectors: vacuumed on both sides, steamed where suitable, and spot-treated for sweat, water and drink stains.
- On request
- The sheets and covers just taken off, sorted by colour, material and label and washed in your own machine.
Villas, townhouses and apartments in Phu My Hung: how the visit runs
The steps are the same in every home: each item is photographed, covers come off, the inners are vacuumed, steamed if suitable and aired, and the bed is remade. What changes is the order of rooms and where the work is set up.
- Villas at My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien
- Bedrooms on several floors, often with a guest room on the ground floor. The specialist goes room by room, with tools kept on a work sheet beside the bed and the mattress and frame covered.
- Townhouses with a top-floor laundry area
- If you ask for the sheets to be washed, the specialist runs your machine there and hangs the laundry as you direct.
- Apartments in Sunrise City, Midtown and Riviera Point
- Everything stays in the bedroom. In homes lived in for many years, such as the South cluster of Sunrise City, completed in 2012, the inners are usually the items that have waited longest.
- Resale and rental apartments
- Bedding that comes with the home should be cleaned before new occupants arrive, and a flat, lumpy pillow replaced. The Up Report, a photo report sent by WhatsApp or Zalo after every visit, records each item for landlord and tenant.
How each filling is cleaned
The care label decides the method, so send a photo of each one before the visit. Where the label is missing or says dry-clean only, the specialist chooses the gentlest treatment or suggests a dry cleaner.
| Item | At home |
|---|---|
| Synthetic-fill inners | Both sides vacuumed several times, steam cleaned, stains treated one by one, then left to air dry. |
| Down duvets and pillows | Gentle vacuuming of the casing and spot cleaning with minimal moisture; the filling is not wetted. |
| Memory foam and latex pillows | Never soaked or steamed directly. Vacuumed, casing wiped, removable cover washed separately. |
| Wool and silk duvets | Light vacuuming is all that is done at home; no steam and no scrubbing. |
| Mattress protectors | Plain fabric: machine wash by the label. Waterproof: gentle wash, no high heat in the dryer. |
| Herbal, bead and buckwheat-hull pillows | Surface vacuumed and cover washed; the filling is kept dry and aired following its instructions. |
| Electric blankets | Not cleaned with steam or water, because of the wiring and controller inside. |
Bedding cleaning prices in District 7, item by item
Each item has a listed price for vacuuming, steaming and deodorising at home: 70,000 VND a pillow, 150,000 VND a single duvet, 200,000 VND a double duvet, 80,000 VND a mattress protector. A bed with its two pillows, duvet and protector is charged as a set, 390,000 VND. No visit is charged below 390,000 VND.
If mattress cleaning is booked into the same visit, the bedding is 20% off and the mattress follows its own price list. The price reaches you in writing before you confirm, and it changes only if you agree in writing.
- Two pillows and a single duvet
- 2 × 70,000 VND + 150,000 VND = 290,000 VND; the minimum applies, so the visit is 390,000 VND.
- Main bedroom in Midtown
- A full set plus two pillows and a spare double duvet: 730,000 VND.
- Two-bedroom apartment in Sunrise City
- One set for the large bed, and two pillows and a single duvet for the child's bed: 680,000 VND.
- Townhouse with four beds
- Four sets: 1,560,000 VND.
- Five-bedroom villa, with mattress cleaning
- Five sets are 1,950,000 VND, or 1,560,000 VND after 20% off; mattresses are charged separately by size.
What the service does not promise
- Dust mites
- Vacuuming and steam are hygiene measures that take away some of the dust, skin flakes and mites at the surface. We do not promise to remove mites completely and we quote no rate.
- Old stains
- Long-standing sweat and water marks may only fade. Any stain that cannot be fully removed is noted in the Up Report.
- Collection
- Bedding is not taken away to be washed and returned. A thick duvet that needs soaking right through is a job for a facility with suitable machines, and the specialist tells you what its label asks for.
- Drying
- It depends on thickness, material and ventilation. Have spare pillows ready for an afternoon visit; during the rains, run a dehumidifier or set the aircon to dry mode.
Booking in District 7, with notes for international residents
- Message 0968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo, or use our Quote page, with photos of the bedding and its labels and a count of the beds.
- A written list of items and tasks comes back with one all-inclusive price; pick a day and time, weekends included.
- Set out clean sheets, clear the bed, and keep pets in another room during the visit.
- Payment follows the walk-through, the final check of the work, by bank transfer or cash; invoices are issued on request under Vietnamese regulations.
- In English
- You can enquire, receive the quote and the booking confirmation, and read the Up Report in English. If you want an English-speaking specialist in your home, say so when booking; if we cannot arrange it, you hear from us beforehand and we help by phone or message.
- Building rules
- Most apartment towers want outside staff registered with the management office before the day, so the specialist's name, photo and phone number reach you ahead of the visit.
- If you are away
- Nobody has to stay in. Leave a key with reception, the management office or a relative: it is handled only by the specialist assigned to you, the times are logged and no copy is made.
- Mattress cleaning in District 7
- Book it into the same visit and the bedding is 20% off.
- Sofa cleaning in District 7
- Fabric and leather sofas in Phu My Hung villas and apartments, in the same appointment if you wish.
