Where Thao Dien is now, and which homes we visit
Thao Dien is the neighbourhood beside the Saigon River that older leases call Thao Dien ward, District 2. Ho Chi Minh City stopped using districts on 1 July 2025 and redrew its wards, the local administrative units: under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, Thao Dien was merged whole into a new An Khanh ward. Write your address either way.
Our office at 72 Nguyen Co Thach, in the Sala urban area, lies inside that ward. Bedding visits in Thao Dien run from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Riverside bedrooms: why pillow and duvet inners turn musty
Near the river, the inside of a pillow tends to smell before it looks dirty. The city government portal puts the rainy season at May to November, with relative humidity of 79.5% averaged over the year and about 80% in the wet months. Nobody has measured the riverside separately, but in Thao Dien, close to the water and among many trees, the damp is easy to notice, and rooms that are seldom opened smell first.
Sheets go in the wash every week; the inners underneath do not. They take in sweat each night and almost never see the sun. A pillow that still smells in a fresh pillowcase, or a guest-room duvet gone stale behind a closed door, is the usual sign.
Villas, compound houses and the towers: how a visit is planned
A villa or compound house has a main bedroom, children's rooms and usually a guest room, on several floors, so we list the work room by room before quoting. The visit starts in the morning with the rooms slept in every night; with many beds it can be split in two. An apartment usually takes one visit. The notes below rely on what developers and the press have published; UpClean is independent of all of them.

What can be cleaned at home, filling by filling
The care label decides the method and is read before anything is switched on; where it is missing or says dry-clean only, your specialist may recommend a dry cleaner.
- Vacuuming and steam are hygiene measures that take away some of the dust, skin flakes and dust mites at the surface. We do not promise to remove mites completely.
- Synthetic filling
- Both sides vacuumed in several passes, steamed, stains treated separately, then left to air dry.
- Memory foam and latex
- No soaking, and no steam straight onto the core: it is vacuumed, the casing wiped and the loose pillowcase washed.
- Down
- A light vacuum over the casing and dabbing at marks with very little moisture; the down inside stays dry.
- Silk and wool
- A light vacuum, without steam or scrubbing. A deeper clean is work for a dry cleaner.
- Bead pillows, electric blankets
- A bead or hull filling must stay dry, so only its surface is vacuumed. Electric blankets have wiring inside: neither steam nor water is used.
Bedding cleaning prices in Thao Dien, with examples by home
Vacuuming, steaming and deodorising at home is charged by the item: 70,000 VND for a pillow, 150,000 VND for a single duvet, 200,000 VND for a double duvet and 80,000 VND for a mattress protector. A bed with two pillows, one duvet and one protector counts as a set, at 390,000 VND. No visit is charged below 390,000 VND, and with mattress cleaning in the same visit the bedding is 20% off.
The sums below come straight from the current price list. Your own figure arrives in a written all-inclusive quote and changes only with your written approval.
- Three pillows and one mattress protector only
- 3 × 70,000 VND + 80,000 VND = 290,000 VND, which is under the minimum, so the visit is 390,000 VND.
- Two-bedroom apartment at Masteri Thao Dien between tenants: two full sets and a spare single duvet
- 2 × 390,000 VND + 150,000 VND = 930,000 VND.
- Compound villa with six beds, booked with mattress cleaning
- Six sets come to 2,340,000 VND; less 20%, the bedding is 1,872,000 VND. Mattresses are charged separately by size.
International residents: furnished rentals, English and keys
Tuoi Tre reported in 2020 that nearly 6,000 foreign residents of 102 nationalities lived in Thao Dien. Most homes let to them come furnished, and where pillows and duvets are on the inventory they stay with the property from one tenant to the next. The gap between two leases, while the bedroom is empty, is the time to clean them.
- Before a long summer trip home
- Have the bedding cleaned before the house is closed up, so the bedrooms do not hold a smell while you are away.
- English
- Enquiries, quotes, booking confirmations and the Up Report can all be in English. For a specialist who speaks English in your home, ask when you book; if we cannot arrange one, we say so in advance and support the visit by phone or message.
- Registration and keys
- Your specialist's name and photo reach you before every visit, for the building's register. If you are out, a key can be left with building management, reception or family; it is never copied.
Drying time, booking and what we commit to
How quickly bedding dries after steam depends on its thickness, its filling and the airing of the room. By the river a morning visit is the safer choice; for an afternoon one, keep spare bedding for that night.

- A written list of items comes back with one all-inclusive price; pick any day, between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
- Set out clean sheets beforehand. Payment follows the walk-through, our check of the finished work with you, by bank transfer or cash.
- If we are late, or something falls short
- More than 15 minutes late and that visit's bill is reduced by 10%. Anything that fell short is redone at no charge if you tell us within 48 hours of the Up Report.
