Where Phu My Hung is: the former District 7, now Tan My and Tan Hung wards
Phu My Hung is a planned urban area of 433 hectares in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, built around Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien streets. On 1 July 2025 the city replaced its districts with wards, the local administrative units, under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15. The land of the urban area, once in Tan Phu and Tan Phong wards, is now in Tan My and Tan Hung.
The landscape team works in both wards regularly, and requests are taken daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Papers showing the old ward are no problem: tell us the estate, street or building.
- Villa and townhouse areas
- My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien, and the rows of houses beside Crescent Lake.
- Tan My ward
- Apartments: Phu My Hung Midtown, Scenic Valley, Riverpark Premier and Hung Phuc Premier.
- Tan Hung ward
- Apartments: Sky Garden, Happy Valley and Sunrise City.
- Shophouses and offices
- Ground floors along the three main streets are often showrooms, shops and offices.
A green district on low ground: leaf fall, shade and slow-drying soil in your garden
Phu My Hung is built at a density under 30%, with roughly 8.9 m² of greenery for each resident, Nguoi Do Thi magazine reported in 2023, and the developer calls Nam Vien the area's green core. The magazine adds that the south of the city was marshland over thirty years ago and is still low ground exposed to high tides; Phu My Hung floods little thanks to its tide gates. In a private garden this shows up in four ways.
| What you notice | What the schedule does about it |
|---|---|
| Leaves blowing in | Leaves and clippings are collected at every visit and paths swept. Trees on the pavement and in the parks are urban trees in the care of the competent authority; we work only inside your property. |
| Shade under trees and beside high walls | Grass short of sun thins out. The specialist may suggest shade-tolerant ground cover or decorative gravel in place of patching it repeatedly. |
| Low spots that stay wet | From May to November grass waterlogs easily in hollows. Before any patching the cause is identified: standing water, compacted soil, mowing too low or a worn shortcut. |
| The two seasons | In the rains grass is cut more often and fertiliser is kept away from heavy downpours. In the dry season mowing is spaced out, plants get extra water and the existing sprinklers are checked. |

Older villa and townhouse gardens in My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien
Phu My Hung was built in stages, and many of its villas and townhouses have been lived in for ten or fifteen years. A garden of that age tends to show a hedge out of shape, shade trees thick enough to block lights and cameras, and algae in the fish pond. Bringing it back follows a set order.
- Restoration visit
- A garden nobody has tended for a long time needs one before the regular schedule starts.
- Front and back yards
- Grass is mown at a height suited to the variety and edged, weeds are pulled by hand, and worn patches are replanted with the grass already there.
- Hedges and shrubs
- Trimmed at intervals to hold their shape; heavier reshaping is kept for periods of steady growth.
- Shade trees
- Dead or diseased branches low down are cut during a garden visit. Crown reduction and work at height belong to our tree pruning service.
- The household's routine
- Your Up specialist, an identity-verified UpClean staff member trained to the Up Standard, comes in the time slot you choose, screens the terrace before mowing and puts pots and chairs back.
Penthouse terraces at Sky Garden, duplexes at Happy Valley
Sky Garden, at 68 Pham Van Nghi, has penthouses of roughly 174–500 m², many with a roof terrace or a large balcony whose floor is open to sun and rain. Happy Valley has two-storey duplexes and penthouses. Outdoor pots and planters there go onto a checklist after the survey: pruning, feeding, topping up growing medium, irrigation checks and leaf clearing.
- Building procedures
- Residents usually announce service staff in advance; the specialist shows ID in the lobby and uses the lift assigned. Some buildings restrict construction-type work at weekends, so ask the management early about a Saturday or Sunday visit.
- Timing at Sky Garden
- Nguyen Van Linh boulevard is often congested at peak hours, as CafeF has reported; a slot outside the rush helps the visit start on time.
- Plants kept indoors
- A job for our indoor plant care service.
Building grounds, shophouses and offices: when we take a maintenance contract
Many apartment developments here keep most of their land open. The developer gives Happy Valley a building density of nearly 23% and Scenic Valley about 30%, with flower gardens and a playground; The Peak at Midtown, VnExpress notes, stands beside Sakura Park. Those grounds are run by each development's management. UpClean is independent, has no partnership with the developer or these managers, and works on shared grounds only when a management office or a company signs a contract.
- Task lists are drawn up by week and by month, with mowing and patching dates written in.
- A photo report follows each round of work.
- Work is set for the hours with the fewest people about, behind temporary signs.
- For ground-floor showrooms, shops and offices, planters at the entrance are tended before opening, from 7:00 AM at the earliest.
What decides the cost of garden maintenance in Phu My Hung
We quote only after seeing the garden, and that first visit is free. No price list exists, and mowing has no rate per square metre: a flat lawn in a building's grounds and a Nam Vien villa garden with flower beds, stone steps and a fish pond can cover the same area and be quite different jobs. The quote sets out each task, the number of visits and one all-inclusive price for a visit or a month, and it is altered only with your written consent.
- Lawn: its area and grass type, and whether a machine can run straight through or it is hand work.
- Trees: how many and how tall; anything needing ladders and safety lines is usually priced on its own.
- Condition: a garden neglected for a while, between two tenancies for instance, starts with a restoration visit.
- Ponds: the size, fish or none, the filter and the cleaning level agreed.
- Frequency and materials: visits in a month, and who supplies fertiliser and turf.
- Green waste: how much, and where it goes.
International residents: rented homes, English, limits and booking
Phu My Hung has a large foreign community, and many of its villas are let furnished, so a garden is easily forgotten in the gap between two leases. Quotes and Up Reports can be written in English. For an English speaker at the house, add a note when booking; if that proves impossible we tell you ahead of time and help by phone or message.
- Away or abroad: visits continue when someone opens the gate, as agreed.
- Koi ponds: mechanical cleaning only, mostly with the fish in the pond; the owner decides if fish are moved. We promise nothing on water readings or fish health and do not repair pumps.
- Plant-protection products: only if needed and approved by you, legally permitted, with notice of spraying and never near a fish pond.
- Plant survival is not promised in general; any commitment is written into the quote or contract.
- To book, call or message 0968 726 135 (WhatsApp or Zalo) with the estate and some photos. A checklist item that falls short is redone free if you reply to the Up Report within 48 hours.
