Where Phu My Hung is, and where woodworm surveys are booked
Phu My Hung is an urban area of 433 hectares in the former District 7, built around Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Luong Bang boulevards and Ton Dat Tien street. The city has had no districts since 1 July 2025: under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 the area, formerly in Tan Phu and Tan Phong wards, is now in Tan My and Tan Hung wards, the city's local administrative units.
Woodworm surveys run on a regular schedule in both wards, between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM any day, at an hour set by our technicians' diary. Besides homes, we survey timber in offices, shophouses and restaurants here.

A fifteen-year-old tower and a five-year-old one: how woodworm gets in
Phu My Hung went up in stages. By the sources cited on our page for each development, Sky Garden 3 was due for handover in the third quarter of 2010, Happy Valley was handed over in 2015, Riverpark Premier at the end of 2018, Hung Phuc Premier in August 2020 and The Peak at Midtown from November 2021.
In a home lived in for over ten years, wardrobes and bookshelves have stood in one place since moving day, their backs and insides usually bare wood. Woodworm, the larvae of small beetles, bores inside timber for months before anything shows. In a newer home, look first at free-standing pieces brought from a previous address or bought used: woodworm travels in old furniture, pallets and wooden crates.
- Sky Garden
- Units of about 56–106 m², with bedrooms beside the drying loggia, so damp reaches any wooden wardrobe standing there.
- Happy Valley
- About ten years old. The timber faces of kitchen cabinets have lost their sheen, as our page on the development notes, and the duplexes have internal stairs with timber treads.
- Scenic Valley and Riverpark Premier
- At Scenic Valley, units of around 70 m² in which the second bedroom often serves as storage. At Riverpark Premier, three-bedroom units of 112–231 m², where a survey goes room by room.
- Hung Phuc Premier and Midtown
- Hung Phuc Premier came fully fitted in 2020, kitchen cabinets and built-in wardrobes included. Midtown has high-end finishes; timber and high-gloss cabinet faces are covered whenever work is done beside them.
Duplex staircases, penthouses and villa doors: timber that stays where it is
Some timber cannot be moved. Happy Valley has two-storey duplexes of 170–325 m², Sky Garden has penthouses of 174–500 m², and the villas of My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien have doors, staircases and timber floors on several levels. Fixed timber is always treated in place.
- Staircases: holes in treads and handrail are marked and photographed as a baseline; walls, glass balustrades and the floor alongside are covered first.
- Doors and frames: holes on the door faces are recorded, and the plan says whether a leaf has to come off.
- Timber floors: the area with fresh dust and any weak boards are marked out. Lifting a board requires your written agreement.
- Stone halls: marble or granite around stair feet and door frames stays covered throughout.
- Before a renovation: when old kitchen cabinets, floors or panelling come out, their backs are exposed, so book the survey before the new ones go in.
Low ground in the south: woodworm or termites?
Nguoi Do Thi magazine (2023) records that the south of the city was marshland over thirty years ago and is still low and exposed to high tides; Phu My Hung floods rarely because of tide gates, a building density under 30% and about 8.9 m² of greenery per resident. Trees on low ground keep the soil round foundations moist, which is what subterranean termites need. Damaged timber on a ground floor here is therefore not always woodworm, and our technicians settle that first.

Three generations at home: planning the time away from treated rooms
Many Phu My Hung apartments have grandparents, parents and children under one roof; Scenic Valley, for one, was presented as housing for families of several generations. Treatment in such a home has to allow for people who are in all day. Before the appointment you receive a written note of the rooms to be treated, the re-entry time (how long to stay out) and anything particular to your household.
- Grandparents, small children, pregnant women and anyone with a respiratory condition leave the area for the period stated; tell us at the survey if someone has difficulty moving about.
- Food, dishes and toys are put away, the aquarium is covered and pets go to another room.
- Do not wash a treated spot, burn anything or mix chemicals yourself; the Up specialist cleans at the right time.
What a woodworm quote in Phu My Hung is based on
A bookshelf with a few fresh holes and a duplex staircase weakened across several treads are different jobs, so there is no price list. The survey is free. You then receive a written all-inclusive quote: each piece, the method, the re-entry time, the follow-up checks and the warranty terms. Nothing written there changes without your written agreement.

Building management and international residents: registration, English, keys, payment
Because products are used, a management office in Phu My Hung usually asks who is doing the work, when, and which areas are affected. - Many homes here are let furnished, and the gap between two leases suits a survey. A key left with building management or a representative is handled only by the assigned specialist and never copied. Payment follows the walk-through, our check of the finished work with you.
- Shophouses
- Shop counters and shelving are surveyed with the home's furniture, and treatment is booked before opening or on a closing day.
From the first photo to the Up Report
- Vacuum up the dust, mark the existing holes, and send close-up photos to 0968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo.
- After the free survey you receive the plan and the all-inclusive price, with no need to answer at once.
- The Up Report shows the marked holes and the date of the next check. If no new holes or fresh dust appear, the woodworm is no longer active.
- Between checks, keep timber dry and off damp walls, varnish or paint bare wood, and keep an affected piece apart.
- Over 15 minutes late on our side: 10% off that visit. Cancelling is free up to 24 hours before; after that the fee is 30%.
