Where Phu My Hung is, and which homes we take
Phu My Hung is the 433-hectare urban area in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, crossed by Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Luong Bang boulevards and Ton Dat Tien street. Districts were dropped on 1 July 2025 under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, and addresses now end in a ward, the city's local administrative unit: the old Tan Phu part of Phu My Hung is now Tan My, the old Tan Phong part Tan Hung.
Both wards are on our regular schedule, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day including weekends. An address showing the old ward is no problem.
- My Kim, My Thai, Nam Vien
- The low-rise villa and townhouse neighbourhoods, with the rows of houses around Crescent Lake: each home's own roof tank or cistern is what this service is for.
- Townhouses and shophouses on the main roads
- Along Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien many ground floors are showrooms, shops or offices, and some families live above their business.
- Apartment buildings
- Phu My Hung Midtown, Scenic Valley, Riverpark Premier and Hung Phuc Premier in Tan My, and Sky Garden, Happy Valley and Sunrise City in Tan Hung, use tanks shared by the whole building. Building management is responsible for those.

Fifteen-year-old houses beside new ones: what each tank needs
Phu My Hung went up in stages, so homes that have been lived in for more than fifteen years stand next to ones handed over a few years ago. The tank, up on the roof or under the yard, is easy to forget, and the age of the house says a good deal about the work it will need.
- A tank not opened for years
- Thick sediment and long-established algae take more vacuuming and scrubbing; the expected duration is stated in the quote.
- An old plastic tank
- The lid, the screw thread and any cracks from ageing are photographed for the Up Report, the photo record sent to you after the visit. We note faults; we do not repair them.
- A stainless-steel tank
- Only soft brushes and pads are used, since wire brushes, abrasive powder and strong acids all mark the steel.
- After renovation
- After years in the same house many families replace kitchen cabinets, flooring or panelling. If the pipework was touched, cement dust, sand and metal filings can reach the tank, so have it cleaned before the water is used again.
Low southern ground, trees close to the house: cisterns in My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien
Nguoi Do Thi magazine recalled in 2023 that the south of the city was marshland more than thirty years ago. The whole area is still low and exposed to high tides, while Phu My Hung floods little because it was planned with tide gates, a building density under 30% and roughly 8.9 m² of greenery per resident.
More trees mean more dry leaves and soil in the yard, and they find their way past a cistern hatch that does not close tightly. When the rainy season ends, open the hatch and look: gaps in it, or signs that rainwater or dirty water got in, are the cue to book a clean.
Going down into a cistern is confined-space work. The hatch is opened beforehand to air the space, which may be short of oxygen, and two people are always present, one inside and one standing by above. We accept a cistern when the hatch is wide enough and it can be fully ventilated; nobody goes in if there is an unusual smell or incoming water cannot be controlled.
Townhouses and shophouses: the roof tank and the shut-off hour
A townhouse tank sits on the roof, so the first thing we check is how to get there. We accept the job where there is a fixed ladder, a roof terrace with a railing or a sturdy platform, and near the edge the specialist ties a safety line to a load-bearing point. On a day of rain, strong wind or a slippery roof the climb is postponed and we phone to set another date.
Where the ground floor is a shop, showroom or office, agree the shut-off hour early: from the moment the valve is closed until rinsing is finished there is no water in the building. A morning before opening time or a day the shop is closed both work, and the hour is written into the quote.
What water tank cleaning costs in Phu My Hung
There are three all-inclusive tank prices, by capacity: 450,000 VND for a tank holding up to 1,000 L, 650,000 VND above 1,000 L and up to 2,000 L, 850,000 VND above 2,000 L and up to 5,000 L. Tanks beyond 5,000 L are priced once surveyed. A cistern goes by volume, 70,000 VND per m³ and at least 1,500,000 VND; every visit starts from 450,000 VND.
Photos of the tank and its access are enough for us to confirm the price; a cistern or a complicated position is surveyed without charge. The written quote stays as it is unless you approve a change in writing. The capacities in these examples are made up:
- Townhouse, one 2,000 L stainless tank
- Second price band: 650,000 VND.
- Home above a shop, two 1,000 L plastic tanks
- 450,000 VND each, 900,000 VND for the pair, with one shut-off before opening time.
- Villa, a 1,500 L roof tank and a 25 m³ cistern
- Tank 650,000 VND; cistern 25 m³ × 70,000 VND, which is 1,750,000 VND. The two items together: 2,400,000 VND.
- Villa, an 18 m³ cistern
- Cistern price: 1,500,000 VND, the lowest cistern charge, since 18 m³ comes to only 1,260,000 VND.
When to book, what we leave out and what we commit to
- Good moments to book
- Between two leases, when the house is empty; before Tết, an easy date for keeping to a six-to-twelve-month interval; or before the family returns from a long absence.
- No testing, no certification
- We clean the tank. We do not test the water and make no commitment about water-quality figures; for a test, approach an accredited laboratory.
- Independent of the developer
- UpClean is not a partner of the Phu My Hung developer. Bookings, quotes and payment are arranged between you and us.
- If we fall short
- Arrive over 15 minutes late and that visit is 10% off. Tell us within 48 hours of the Up Report and unfinished items in the agreed scope are redone free. Moving or cancelling is free until 24 hours before, then 30%.
For international residents: English, the gate, keys and payment
- English
- The enquiry, the quote, the booking confirmation and the Up Report can all be in English. For an English-speaking specialist at the house, add a note when you book; if that cannot be arranged we say so in advance and assist by phone.
- Guards and caretakers
- Many villa and townhouse neighbourhoods here have guards, and some houses a caretaker. Up specialists are identity-verified, and we send the specialist's name, photo and contact number ahead.
- Keys
- Nobody has to be in. A key can stay with the guard, the caretaker or family; only the assigned specialist handles it, the times are recorded and it is never copied.
- Payment
- After the walk-through, our check of the finished work with you, by bank transfer or cash; invoices on request. To book, message +84 968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo with photos of the tank and the way up.
What does UpClean's water tank cleaning include?
