Fridge and range hood cleaning in Phu My Hung — long-used apartment kitchens, villas, townhouses

Phu My Hung is a 433-hectare urban area in the former District 7, built around Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien. District 7 ceased to exist as an administrative unit on 1 July 2025 under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15; the city is now divided into wards, its local administrative units, and the land of Phu My Hung, once in Tan Phu and Tan Phong wards, falls in Tan My and Tan Hung. An address written the old way is fine for booking.

Tan My ward

Phu My Hung Midtown on Nguyen Luong Bang, Scenic Valley in the medical services zone, Riverpark Premier in the Canh Doi area, Hung Phuc Premier in Nam Vien, and the streets around Crescent Lake.

Villas, townhouses and shophouses

Phu My Hung was built in stages, so a kitchen cooked in for more than fifteen years stands near one used for only a few. Its age tells us where the dirt will be. The handover dates below come from press reports and the developer.

Sky Garden

Sky Garden 3 was due for handover in the third quarter of 2010. In apartments of 56 to 106 m² the living room, dining table and kitchen usually share one space, so cooking smells spread when the hood weakens. Over that many years grease builds up on the filter and under the canopy; a dented or torn filter is noted so that you can replace it.

Happy Valley

Handed over in 2015. Cabinet fronts have begun to lose their sheen, so the area around the hood and fridge is covered before a filter or shelf comes out.

Riverpark Premier

Handed over at the end of 2018 according to the published plan. After years of continuous use, residue sits where it is hard to see: the fridge's drain slot, the door seal, the hood filter.

Hung Phuc Premier and Hung Phuc Happy Residence

Handed over from August 2020 and in early 2018. Living and dining areas usually share one space, so chairs, sofa and curtains take up cooking smells when the hood is weak.

Midtown

The Peak, the last part to be completed, was handed over from November 2021 with mostly European materials and fittings. Here we use fine-fibre cloths and keep acidic products off natural stone.

Scenic Valley

Tuoi Tre newspaper described Scenic Valley as aimed at families of several generations living close together. A kitchen that cooks many meals a day loads its hood filter quickly; if you fry often, check the filter monthly, as the maker advises.

Three-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses

Riverpark Premier is mostly three-bedroom apartments, Happy Valley has duplexes and Sky Garden has penthouses. A large kitchen may hold a side-by-side or four-door fridge, cleaned compartment by compartment: 500,000 VND.

Villas in My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien

Marble and granite floors are covered before shelves are set down. A heavy fridge, or one fitted tightly into its housing, is not pulled out where space is short; we clean behind it as far as we can reach.

Townhouses and shophouses

A mini fridge upstairs counts as a one- or two-door fridge, 350,000 VND. Display chillers and wine fridges in a ground-floor shop are not on the price list: send photos and we reply with the scope and a fixed written price. The same applies to island hoods and built-in appliances.

Phu My Hung has many foreign residents, and the developer points to Japanese, Korean and Taipei schools near Nam Vien. Many apartments and villas are let furnished, so the occupants change with each lease while the fridge and the hood stay.

• Between two leases, while the home is empty. A landlord who lives elsewhere can leave the key with building management or a representative, and the Up Report records the appliances before and after for the next handover.
• Before Tết, the Lunar New Year, or before relatives arrive from far away. Book early so that the fridge can settle, as its manual advises, before it is filled for the holiday.
• After painting or fitting new cabinets: have the appliances cleaned last, once the work in the kitchen is finished.

Your Up specialist, the UpClean member of staff assigned to your home, protects the floor and worktop and photographs both appliances. On the hood, the metal grease filters are removed, soaked, degreased, rinsed and dried, and the casing, controls, lamp and reachable inner surfaces are wiped. In the fridge, shelves, crisper drawers and door racks are washed separately; spills and dried residue are cleared from both compartments; the folds of the door seal and the drain channel are cleaned. The interior is deodorised and the appliances are checked with you.

The fridge has to be empty: have a cool box or insulated bags ready, and ask if you would like help with the food.

Not included

Repairs, refrigerant work, replacement parts or seals; dismantling a hood's motor or circuit board; ducting inside walls or ceilings; supplying carbon filters.

Habits that keep smells and grease down between visits.

There are three prices, each all-inclusive for one appliance: 350,000 VND for a wall-mounted hood, 350,000 VND for a fridge with one or two doors, mini fridges included, and 500,000 VND for a side-by-side or four-door fridge. We accept a single appliance at its own price. The figure is confirmed in writing before you book, and a different type of fridge on the day changes it only with your written agreement.

Three-bedroom apartment at Riverpark Premier

One hood and one side-by-side fridge: 850,000 VND.

Three-generation household in Scenic Valley

One side-by-side fridge, one two-door fridge, one mini fridge upstairs and one hood: 1,550,000 VND.

Building rules

Residents of a Phu My Hung tower usually have to register outside staff beforehand, and some buildings limit work that resembles construction at weekends. We send the specialist's name, photo and contact number ahead of the visit, and we are independent of the developer and of every building's management.

Choosing a time

Nguyen Van Linh, where Sky Garden and Happy Valley stand, is often congested at rush hour, so an early-morning or early-afternoon slot is easier to keep.

Keys and payment

You need not be home: a key left with building management, reception or family is handled only by the assigned specialist and never copied. You pay after the walk-through, the check of the finished work, by bank transfer or cash; invoices are issued on request by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited (tax code 0316973414).
