Bed bug and flea control in Phu My Hung — family apartments, villas and townhouses

This page covers the Phu My Hung urban area: 433 hectares in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, around Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien streets. It is not Phu My in the Ba Ria – Vung Tau area. The city replaced districts with wards, its local administrative units, on 1 July 2025 (Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15), and the urban area, once in Tan Phu and Tan Phong wards, is now in Tan My and Tan Hung.

Phu My Hung was built in stages, so buildings lived in for more than fifteen years stand beside ones handed over a few years ago. The age of a home does not decide whether bed bugs appear; the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says they travel mainly in luggage, overnight bags, clothing and furniture. What changes from home to home is how many beds there are to check.

Two- and three-bedroom family apartments

Scenic Valley has seven towers and 1,202 apartments, over half of them around 70 to 77 m²; Tuoi Tre noted in 2014 that it was aimed at families of several generations. When grandparents, parents and children share a home, bedrooms are in use day and night, so every bed is surveyed and the re-entry time, the period to stay out of a treated room, is given early.

Large three-bedroom apartments

Riverpark Premier has 268 apartments of 112 to 231 m² in three towers, mostly three-bedroom. With many beds and bedding sets, the plan is drawn up room by room.

Duplexes and penthouses

Happy Valley has two-storey duplexes of 170 to 325 m², and Sky Garden has penthouses of roughly 174 to 500 m². In a two-storey home, textiles are sealed in bags upstairs before they are carried down.

Villas and townhouses

Guest rooms in multi-storey houses often stay shut for days. After someone has stayed, changing the sheets is the time to look along the mattress seams.

The CDC describes bed bugs as small, flat, wingless insects, reddish brown and about 1 to 7 mm long, which feed on sleeping people and can go months without feeding. A bite may not show for up to two weeks, so skin alone settles little.

The bed is better evidence. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) advises looking for four things when you change the sheets: rusty or red marks where a bug was crushed, tiny dark dots that spread like ink (droppings), shed skins, and pale yellow eggs of about 1 mm. Check mattress seams, piping and labels, the cracks of the bed frame and headboard, sofa folds, drawer joints, sockets and the backs of pictures. Fleas show on the animal: constant scratching, and black specks like pepper in the coat or the pet's bed.

How to check a bed before you message us.

Bed bugs and fleas need two things: the hiding places treated and the textiles cleaned, both arranged by us under one plan. The EPA says control depends on several measures used together, so we treat laundering as support for the treatment, never as the treatment.

A written note names the rooms to be treated, the re-entry time and what to prepare.

Bagging and covering

Treatment

Outside staff entering an apartment tower in Phu My Hung usually have to be registered by the resident in advance, show papers in the lobby and use the lift they are assigned. Some buildings bar construction-type work at weekends, so ask your management office early if you want a Saturday or Sunday. Nguyen Van Linh avenue is often congested at peak hours, so early morning or early afternoon suits an on-time start; we do not promise a travel time.
