Phu My Hung: where we clean pools, and which pools
Phu My Hung is the urban area in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City along Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien. On 1 July 2025, Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 ended the districts and left wards as the local administrative unit: the land formerly in Tan Phu ward is now Tan My, and the land formerly in Tan Phong is part of Tan Hung. Villa pools in both wards are on our regular schedule, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, weekends included.
- My Kim, My Thai, Nam Vien
- The villa neighbourhoods of the urban area. A private pool in the grounds of one house is what this page is about.
- Around Crescent Lake
- The rows of villas and townhouses by the lake, in Tan My ward.
- Amenity pools in apartment developments
- According to the developer, Riverpark Premier has a pool of about 500 m², Scenic Valley has indoor and outdoor pools, and Hung Phuc Premier has a pool on the third floor joining its two blocks. Residents share these and building management runs them; they are outside this service.
- Tan Thuan and Phu Thuan
- How we take bookings in these two wards is explained on our District 7 page.
Low building density and trees by the house: what lands in the pool
Nguoi Do Thi magazine reported in 2023 that Phu My Hung was planned with a building density under 30% and about 8.9 m² of greenery per resident, and the developer calls Nam Vien the green core of the area. For an outdoor pool, that much planting means dry leaves, petals and pollen falling in all year. Leaves left in the water sink and rot on the floor, and a skimmer basket choked with them slows the flow.
The same article notes that the south of the city is low and tidal, although Phu My Hung itself floods little thanks to its tide gates. The rainy season runs from May to November, and each heavy downpour leaves more leaves, sand and sediment on the pool floor. If the water stays cloudy for days instead of clearing, tell us so that it can be checked early.

Villas lived in for years: the waterline, the grout and ageing equipment
Phu My Hung was built in phases; some buildings have been occupied for more than fifteen years, and many villas have seen long use. A pool with years behind it shows them at the waterline: thick limescale, a film of sunscreen on top and grout discoloured by algae.
Most scale and oily marks brighten visibly once treated with a product chosen for the tile or stone; scale that has sat for very many years may only fade. The specialist tries a short length, shows you the result, and only then goes round the whole pool. Heavy scale over the entire shell is planned as separate work.
- Tile, stone and painted shells
- Grout on mosaic or ceramic tile is brushed with medium-stiff bristles. Calcium-based natural stone cannot take acid, so strong cleaners are avoided and a small area is tested first. Painted or rendered shells get a soft brush, and peeling is photographed for your contractor.
- Older equipment
- An odd-sounding pump, a leak in the plant room or a flickering light is noted with photos in the Up Report, the photo record sent after each visit. Repairing or replacing pumps, filters, valves, lights or electrics is not our work.
Children who swim daily, Tết, tenants: matching the schedule to the household
Phu My Hung is a multicultural area, with the Taipei School, the Japanese School, Canadian International School and Korean International School inside it, and a good number of villas let furnished. Each pool has its own pattern of use, and the cleaning schedule should follow it.
- Children in the pool every day
- A weekly clean and water test. Every Up Report carries the pH and chlorine readings, so parents can follow the water from week to week.
- Before Tết or a family visit
- One overall clean. Book early: if a product is added, nobody swims until the waiting time on its label has passed.
- Between two leases
- With the house empty the pool is often switched off. Clean it before handover and let the Up Report serve owner and tenant as a common record.
What a visit covers, and the water test
The pool stays full throughout. The specialist photographs it as found, then works from high to low so that what comes off the walls can settle before the floor is vacuumed through the pool's filtration: debris skimmed, walls, steps and corners scrubbed, the waterline descaled, the floor brushed and vacuumed, the baskets emptied and the filter pressure noted.
pH and chlorine are measured with a test kit. An approved product is added only when a reading is outside the range its maker recommends, at the dose printed on the label and one product at a time. This covers a family's everyday swimming; advanced water-quality parameters are outside what we commit to. A filter backwash is done only with your agreement and clear operating instructions for the system.
- Children and pets keep out of the pool and away from it during the work and until any product has dispersed.
- With nothing added, the pool can be used once the water has settled clear; otherwise after the wait on the label.
Pool cleaning prices in Phu My Hung: the listed price and what is charged separately
The listed price is 1,500,000 VND, all-inclusive, for one clean of a pool with a water surface of up to 40 m². Larger pools, pools in special condition and regular plans are surveyed first, at the house or from photos and video and at no charge, and quoted afterwards.
Water-treatment products are charged by the amount actually used, which depends on the readings and the volume of water, and you are told first every time. Nothing in the written quote changes without your written agreement. The sizes below are assumptions:
- A 4 × 8 m pool (32 m²), one clean at the end of the year
- 1,500,000 VND; if the readings call for a product, it is added by the amount used.
- A 5 × 9 m pool (45 m²)
- Above 40 m², so the quote follows a survey.
- A pool of 40 m² or less and two 1,000-litre rooftop water tanks in one quote
- 1,500,000 VND + 2 × 450,000 VND = 2,400,000 VND, each item at its own listed price.
For international residents: English, guards, keys and payment
- English
- Enquiries, quotes, booking confirmations and the Up Report can all be in English. If you would like an English-speaking specialist on site, tell us when you book; should we be unable to arrange one, you hear in advance and we help by phone or message.
- Guards
- Many villa and townhouse neighbourhoods in Phu My Hung have guards who log visitors. Up specialists are identity-verified and trained to the Up Standard, our working procedure, and you receive the specialist's name, photo and contact number before the visit.
- Keys
- You do not have to be there. A key left with the guard, a caretaker or family is handled only by the assigned specialist and never copied. The walk-through, our check of the finished work with you, can be a video call.
- Payment and changes
- You pay after the walk-through, by bank transfer or cash, and invoices are issued on request. An item that falls short is redone free if you tell us within 48 hours of the Up Report. To book, send photos or video of the pool and plant room to +84 968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo.
