Phu My Hung in the former District 7: where we clean rugs and carpets
Phu My Hung here means the 433-hectare urban area in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, planned for about 100,000 residents. The city has had wards in place of districts since 1 July 2025 (Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15); a ward is the local unit on an address. The part that was Tan Phu ward is now in Tan My, and the part that was Tan Phong is in Tan Hung. Use whichever name is on your lease.
Both wards are on our regular schedule from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, for homes and offices, and rugs are cleaned where they lie with a spray-extraction machine.

Life on the floor: living-room and children's rugs in family apartments
Many households in Phu My Hung leave shoes at the door, sit on the rug for tea and let children play or read on the floor, so a rug here is in contact with skin, food and drink far more than a decorative one. Scenic Valley was aimed at families of several generations living close together, as Tuoi Tre newspaper noted in late 2014; in a two- or three-bedroom apartment shared by grandparents, parents and children, the living-room and nursery rugs are in use all day.
In such homes your Up specialist, the UpClean staff member sent to your home, identity-verified and trained to the Up Standard, orders the rooms so that older relatives always have somewhere to rest, and we suggest a morning visit so the rug is dry before the family gathers in the evening. At Riverpark Premier, Hung Phuc Premier and Scenic Valley, children coming back from the pool bring wet towels and grit, and the rug nearest the door collects it. With young children, playroom rugs are worth cleaning every 3–6 months; household rugs in general every 6–12 months.

Villas in My Kim, My Thai and Nam Vien, duplexes and penthouses: hand-knotted rugs on stone
Villa halls and living rooms in Phu My Hung are often floored in marble or granite, with a carefully chosen hand-knotted rug on top. Knots, dyes and fringes differ from piece to piece, so the colours are tested on a hidden corner, the solution is mild, little water is used and the fringes and the border are done by hand. Where a piece is valuable, or would need washing by full immersion, we look at it first and say plainly what we would do. Before the machine is set down, the stone, the skirting and the furniture around the rug are protected.
Happy Valley's duplexes cover 170–325 m² on two floors and Sky Garden's penthouses about 174 to 500 m²; the larger the home, the more rugs and the more fibres. We survey first and list each rug by room. Stair and corridor carpet can be cleaned in place once the slope and the access have been seen.
- Wool — 60,000 VND per m²
- Wool holds water and can shrink or bleed with a strong solution, so a mild one is used, the rug is extracted thoroughly and no stiff brush touches it.
Low ground, the rainy season and tiled floors: damp under the rug
According to Nguoi Do Thi magazine (2023), the south of the city was marshland more than thirty years ago and is still low-lying and tidal; Phu My Hung floods rarely because of tide gates, a building density below 30% and about 8.9 m² of greenery per resident. Trees and water also mean damp: at Happy Valley and by the river at Midtown, fabrics dry more slowly in the rainy season.
Many homes here have stone or ceramic-tile floors. A thick rug that has not been moved for months traps damp against the floor, worst under heavy furniture and in corners the sun does not reach. Deep vacuuming, spray extraction and careful drying normally take most of a damp smell out of the pile; where the backing or the floor has stayed damp for long, you are told the actual condition and shown how to prop the rug so that air gets under it. While a rug dries, open the windows or run the aircon, with a fan blowing along the surface.
Shophouses and offices on Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang and Ton Dat Tien: carpet cleaning outside working hours
Along these three streets many ground floors are showrooms, shops or offices, and some apartment developments have shops of their own, such as the 23 at Happy Valley and the 13 commercial units at Riverpark Premier. Office carpet is mostly synthetic, in tiles or fitted wall to wall, and is charged at 35,000 VND per m²; we measure, confirm the area and send a written all-inclusive quote before the day.
Fitted carpet is cleaned in place. Visits are usually set for the weekend or a day the shop is closed, so the carpet is dry before the next working day; some buildings restrict contractor-type work at weekends, so check with the management office first. Whoever is in charge receives the VAT invoice and the Up Report, the message with before-and-after photos we send after every visit. With heavy foot traffic, office carpet is due every 3–6 months.
Rug and carpet cleaning prices in Phu My Hung: examples

- One 1.5 × 2 m synthetic rug (3 m²) works out at 105,000 VND, below the minimum, so the visit is charged at 350,000 VND.
