Frequently asked questions

Tree pruning & felling: your questions

Can you remove the street tree outside my house?+

No. Street trees are public urban trees and felling or major pruning requires permission from the competent authority. We only work on trees within your property, though we can help you prepare photos and information for a request.

What about branches near power lines?+

We do not cut branches touching or close to power lines. We will advise you to contact the electricity utility to coordinate, and complete the rest of the work once the site is safe.

Can I get a quote from photos?+

Yes for smaller, accessible trees. Send a full view, the base and the surroundings. Tall trees or those close to buildings need a free on-site survey.

Do you remove the debris?+

Yes. Branches are collected, timber cut into logs and the garden swept; how green waste leaves the property is set out in your quote.

Do you remove stumps?+

Stumps are usually cut close to the ground. Digging out a stump is only proposed after checking roots, pipes and wall foundations nearby, and is stated in the quote.

Will pruning weaken my tree?+

Correct pruning keeps a tree healthier and more open. Over-pruning or topping can weaken it, so we recommend only the cuts needed for your goal.

Do you work in residential compounds and buildings?+

Yes, with management's approval, within their permitted working hours and with VAT invoices on request.
