Carpet and rug cleaning in Binh Thanh — Thanh My Tay, Gia Dinh, Binh Quoi

The former Binh Thanh District is now five wards, and we take rug and carpet bookings in all of them. A ward is the local unit on an address; the city stopped using districts on 1 July 2025. Boundaries here were redrawn twice in 2025: on 1 January some wards were merged, leaving 15 wards, and on 1 July Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 reorganised the whole area into Thanh My Tay, Gia Dinh, Binh Thanh, Binh Loi Trung and Binh Quoi. "Binh Thanh ward" now covers only the old wards 12, 14 and 26, so an apartment at Vinhomes Central Park, Landmark 81 or Saigon Pearl has a Thanh My Tay address.

Visits run from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, and the arrival time is settled with you at booking. Give your address the old way or the new way.

Thanh My Tay ward

The old wards 19, 22 and 25, along Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Huu Canh to the bank of the Saigon River: Vinhomes Central Park, Landmark 81, Saigon Pearl, Sunwah Pearl, The Manor, Opal Tower, Pearl Plaza, City Garden and Wilton Tower.

Gia Dinh ward

The old wards 1, 2, 7 and 17, around Lang Ong Ba Chieu and Ba Chieu market. Mostly long-established townhouses, with the living room on the ground floor.

Binh Thanh ward

The old wards 12, 14 and 26; Richmond City stands on Nguyen Xi.

Binh Loi Trung ward

The old wards 5, 11 and 13, largely narrow townhouses in residential alleys.

Binh Quoi ward

The old wards 27 and 28 with the Thanh Da peninsula, where low-rise houses sit among waterways and trees.

A rug beside a river-facing glass wall fades unevenly. Along Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Huu Canh many apartments have wide glass fronts onto the Saigon River, with the living-room rug right beside them. Where a unit takes the afternoon sun, the strip by the glass is in sunlight for hours each day, so its fibres dry out and pale sooner than the part under the seating.

Aircon running most of the day keeps the room dry, yet fine dust, skin flakes and lint still sink to the base of the pile, where a household vacuum cleaner struggles to reach. The rainy season lasts from May to November and relative humidity averages about 79.5%, according to the city government portal. When the family is away and the apartment stays shut with the aircon off, a thick rug on a wooden floor holds damp between its backing and the boards.

Many apartments here are rentals and plenty of households keep pets indoors. Occupants change and the rug stays, so hair, smells and drink stains pile up.

Away from the riverside towers, Binh Thanh is rows of long-established townhouses around Ba Chieu market and along Phan Dang Luu and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, the alleys of Binh Loi Trung, and the "village in the city" of Thanh Da and Binh Quoi.

Street-front house, living room on the ground floor

Road dust drops onto the rug every time the door opens. The specialist dry-vacuums in several passes before spraying, so dust does not turn to mud in the pile.

Narrow townhouse in an alley

Little sun and little breeze, so a rug dries slowly. Moisture is extracted thoroughly and the rug propped up to air; keep a fan running until the backing is completely dry.

Low-rise house by the water in Thanh Da

Damp from the river and canals can leave dark spots on the underside in the rainy season. Book for a dry, sunny day and have the floor underneath checked.

No rug is cleaned until the Up specialist has looked at its fibre, weave and backing and tested colour-fastness on a hidden corner. The result decides the solution, the amount of water and the handling.

Synthetic — 35,000 VND per m²

The usual kind in bedrooms, children's rooms and rental apartments. Vacuumed to the base of the pile, treated stain by stain, then spray-extracted by machine.

Wool — 60,000 VND per m²

Wool holds water and does not tolerate strong solutions. A mild solution made for wool, little water and no stiff brush, so the pile does not fuzz.

Hand-knotted — 90,000 VND per m²

Fringes and borders are cleaned by hand. A piece of high value, or one needing full immersion washing, is assessed first, with frank advice on the suitable course.

Rugs with pet hair

Hair is vacuumed out in several passes before cleaning and pet stains are spot-treated. A stain that dried long ago may only fade, and you are told so in advance.

Each rug is its area multiplied by the rate for its fibre; rugs cleaned in the same visit are added together, and if the total is under 350,000 VND, that minimum applies. Sizes, rug type and the all-inclusive price are confirmed before you book and change only with your written consent.

1-bedroom rental apartment

One 1.6 × 2.5 m (4 m²) synthetic rug in front of the sofa: 350,000 VND (calculated at 140,000 VND, so the per-visit minimum applies).

2-bedroom apartment with a pet

A 2 × 3 m (6 m²) wool rug in the living room and a 1.5 × 2 m (3 m²) synthetic rug in a bedroom: 465,000 VND.

Penthouse or duplex

A 3 × 4 m (12 m²) hand-knotted living-room rug, a 2 × 3 m (6 m²) wool dining-room rug and a 2 × 3 m (6 m²) synthetic rug in the family room: 1,650,000 VND.

Townhouse in Gia Dinh

A 2 × 3 m (6 m²) synthetic rug under the ground-floor seating and a 1.6 × 2.5 m (4 m²) wool bedroom rug: 450,000 VND.

Your rug is cleaned inside the apartment: nothing is rolled up, taken down in the lift or sent away for days. Dirty water is drawn into the machine's tank, and the corridor and shared areas stay clean.

Most apartment complexes in Thanh My Tay have a management office. By custom the specialist shows ID at the lobby, uses the lift the building designates and works within permitted hours; some towers limit technical work at weekends, so we ask before each appointment. If the specialist arrives on time, waiting at the lobby is not counted as lateness.

• The coffee table and sofa are photographed before they are moved; heavy pieces go back only when the rug is fully dry.
• Keep the aircon or a fan running afterwards; the rug is usually dry in about 4–8 hours, depending on the thickness of the pile.

Rugs in a home should be cleaned every 6–12 months. Choose the early end of that range for an apartment with pets or young children who play on the rug, a rental with many changes of guest, or a townhouse that opens onto the street.

• On afternoons of strong sun, draw the curtains so the rug is not in direct light for hours.
• Every few months turn the rug end to end, so the part by the glass and the part under the sofa change places.
