Pool cleaning in Thao Dien — private pools at garden villas and compound houses

Thao Dien is the riverside neighbourhood around Nguyen Van Huong, Quoc Huong, Xuan Thuy, Thao Dien street and Vo Nguyen Giap road. Since 1 July 2025, when Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 replaced the city's districts with wards (the local administrative units), it has belonged to An Khanh ward; either form of address is fine. Our office in Sala is in the same ward, and we take pool bookings between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM on any day.

Garden and riverside villas

On Nguyen Van Huong and Quoc Huong streets, many with a wide garden, mature trees and a pool of their own.

Penthouses with their own pool

According to a 2015 VIR report, The Nassim has two penthouses of more than 450 m² with a private rooftop pool. A pool that belongs to one home is treated as a family pool; access follows the building's rules.

Shared pools in apartment towers

VnExpress described The Ascent in 2015 as having three heated pools. Pools shared by residents are the responsibility of building management; we accept one only once a specialist has assessed it.

The pool of a Thao Dien villa sits in a garden, with lawn, a pergola and timber decking round it and large trees overhead. Leaves, petals and pollen come down onto the water daily. Whatever is not skimmed off sinks and decays, and once leaves fill the skimmer basket the circulation weakens.

Heavy rain makes it worse. A Tuoi Tre article from June 2025 says Thao Dien, Quoc Huong and Nguyen Van Huong streets lie low and have old drains: when a downpour arrives on a high tide they can be under 0.15–0.3 m of water for an hour or two. After an episode like that there is more leaf litter, sand and sediment on the pool floor. Keep an eye on the colour of the water, and message us if it stays cloudy.

Natural stone flooring is a familiar material in Thao Dien villas. Where the same stone edges the pool or lines it, one badly chosen product is enough to spoil it. So the specialist identifies the finish at the survey before deciding on brushes, descaling and the products to avoid.

Mosaic and ceramic tile

Algae and scale cling to the grout, which is scrubbed with a brush of medium stiffness; whatever descales the waterline must be harmless to tile and grout alike.

Natural stone

Calcium-based stone and acid do not go together. Strong cleaners are left out and the work relies on brushing, with any spot treatment tried first in a small corner.

Painted or rendered finishes

Soft brushes only, because the coating wears; flaking areas are photographed for your contractor.

With nearly 6,000 foreign residents holding 102 nationalities (Tuoi Tre, 2020), Thao Dien is used to back-to-back work trips and long holidays. Many villas are let furnished and stand empty for weeks between leases. A pool nobody swims in still needs care: left alone, the water stagnates and algae settles in patches that are hard to scrub. Before you return

Book one overall clean and leave a key; the Up Report, our photo record of the visit with the readings, reaches you while you are away.

Owner and tenant look at the same before-and-after photos and the same pH and chlorine figures.

Before entertaining

Book early. If a product has to be added, the pool needs the waiting time on its label before anyone gets in.

Work goes from the surface downwards, because dirt brushed off the walls needs time to settle before the floor is vacuumed through the pool's own filter system. There is no draining. The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter's pressure gauge is read.

A test kit gives the pH and chlorine readings, which are copied into the Up Report. An approved product goes in only when a reading sits outside the range its manufacturer recommends; the dose comes from the label and two products are never combined. The aim is basic balancing for a family, and advanced water-quality parameters are not something we commit to.

Equipment

We neither repair nor replace lights, valves, pumps, filters or the pool's electrics; anything odd is photographed for your pool technician. The filter is backwashed only with clear operating instructions for the system and your permission.

Swimming again

With no product added, when the water has settled and cleared; with a product, after the wait printed on its label.

Children and pets

They should stay away from the pool throughout the visit and while any product is dispersing. The specialist brings only as much product as the job needs and leaves none behind without your consent.

We list a single figure: 1,500,000 VND, all-inclusive, for one clean of a pool whose water surface is 40 m² or less. Pools above 40 m², pools with a particular problem and regular schedules are priced after a free survey, at the house or from photos and video.

That figure does not include water-treatment products, which are charged for the quantity actually used; the specialist tells you before using any. The items, the frequency and the way products are charged are set out in a written quote, which stays as it is unless you agree to a change in writing. The pool sizes below are assumptions:

Compound house, a 3 × 7 m pool (21 m²), single clean

1,500,000 VND; a product is added to the bill only if the readings require one.

Garden villa, a 4 × 10 m pool (40 m²), before a party

Right at the 40 m² limit, so still 1,500,000 VND.

Riverside villa, a 5 × 12 m pool (60 m²)

Past the listed limit; the price comes after the survey.

English

Enquiries, quotes, booking confirmations and the Up Report can all be in English. If you need someone who speaks English at the poolside, note it when booking; when that is not possible we say so beforehand and help by phone.

The gate

Before the day you get the name, photo and contact number of your specialist, who is identity-verified and trained to the Up Standard, our working procedure. Pass them to the compound's guards, who direct parking and the use of outdoor water.

Keys

Nobody has to wait in. A key left with the guards or a relative is used by the assigned specialist alone and never copied, and the result can be checked on a video call.

Payment and changes
