Go Vap's six wards, and where termite surveys are booked
Go Vap's boundaries changed twice: early in 2025 some wards merged and 12 remained; from 1 July 2025 Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 combined those 12 into six new wards, now the local units in addresses. Send the house number and alley, old or new, and we do the matching.
Surveys can be booked in every ward, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, all week. Go Vap is not part of our regular service area; the exact slot is fixed with you at booking.
- Hanh Thong ward
- Former Wards 1 and 3 (Ward 1 had taken in Wards 4 and 7), with Gia Dinh Park and CityLand Center Hills on Nguyen Oanh.
- An Nhon ward
- The former Wards 5 and 6, home to CityLand Garden Hills on Phan Van Tri.
- Go Vap ward
- The former Wards 10 and 17, where the CityLand Park Hills urban area stands at 18 Phan Van Tri.
- An Hoi Dong ward
- The former Wards 15 and 16: the northern part, threaded with small alleys around Le Duc Tho and Thong Nhat.
- Thong Tay Hoi ward
- The former Wards 8 and 11, along the Quang Trung and Thong Nhat roads.
- An Hoi Tay ward
- The former Wards 12 and 14; the old Ward 12 once lay within the Go Vap flower village.
Timber lofts, family altars and potted plants: why termites find Go Vap homes
More than 676,000 people lived in Go Vap at the 2019 census, according to Thanh Nien, most in multi-storey tube houses built against their neighbours. Many have been extended with a timber mezzanine, timber stairs or old timber doors, and keep solid-wood altar cabinets and wardrobes handed down through the family: timber against a damp wall is what termites look for.
Cong an TP.HCM newspaper (2019) records that the Go Vap flower village spread over the old Wards 11, 12 and 13, now Thong Tay Hoi, An Hoi Tay and An Hoi Dong, for more than 300 years before housing took its place. Pots still line wall bases, roof terraces and timber trellises, and damp potting soil or rotting wood against a wall is an easy starting point for termites.
University of Florida (UF/IFAS) material on the Asian subterranean termite, native to Southeast Asia, notes that colonies need wood and moist soil, forage through mud tubes and can form secondary nests in wall voids. Where houses share walls and foundations, termites from next door can pass through gaps and mortar joints, so a neighbour's discovery is a reason to check your own home.
- A mezzanine floor, timber stairs or floorboards that sound hollow, with soil dropping to the floor below.
- An altar cabinet or wardrobe with soil trails on its back and papers eaten inside.
- Ground-floor door frames on the alley side crumbling at the foot, paint blistering after the rains.
- Winged termites after evening rain, with shed wings on sills and around lights.

In the wall, the loft or on the roof terrace: how the work is shared
Our technicians choose the method after the survey: spot treatment, baiting, floor-slab treatment or a combination. Your Up specialist, the UpClean staff member assigned to your home, prepares, protects and cleans:
- Multi-storey tube house
- Technicians check from the ground floor to the roof terrace, including under the stairs, service ducts and the wall shared with next door. The specialist clears a strip along the wall bases and protects the narrow stairway.
- Mezzanine, stairs, timber floor
- Drilling or lifting boards for access happens only with your written agreement. Belongings on the floor below are covered, and fallen soil and wood dust are cleared away.
- Altar and old furniture
- Nothing on the altar is moved without the family's consent; positions are photographed and everything is returned.
- Roof terrace and front yard
- Pots, planters and timber trellises against the wall are inspected. Any bait station is marked in the Up Report, the photo record we send after each visit, so that nobody at home moves it.
- Shop or office on the ground floor
- Timed outside opening hours, within 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, with stock and papers covered.
How termite control in Go Vap is priced
There is no fixed price list: a few mud tubes behind an altar cabinet and a three-storey house with termites from the loft to the ground are very different jobs. After the free survey, the written all-inclusive quote sets out the method, the areas, the re-entry time (how long a treated area must stay empty), the follow-up inspections and the warranty terms, which vary with the plan. The price depends on:
- Storeys, floor area and construction: tube house, house with a mezzanine, townhouse on a planned estate.
- Whether termites are in one spot or have spread across floors, or in from next door.
- The method proposed and the number of follow-up inspections.
- How much flooring, loft or furniture must be treated, drilled or opened up for access.
Narrow alleys and shared walls: preparing for the survey and treatment
Most Go Vap houses have no management office, but in narrow alleys with shared walls the neighbours need some thought:
- Tell us where to park; if a vehicle cannot enter the alley, the team walks the equipment in.
- If the treated area is against a shared wall, let the neighbours know beforehand.
- Clear the loft and the space under the stairs, and put food and dishes away in closed cupboards.
- Children, older relatives and pets leave the treated area for the time our technicians specify.
- Afterwards, do not wash residual treatment points or move bait stations unless you are told to.
Between inspections: habits that suit a Go Vap tube house
Follow-up inspections are booked as the quote sets out, and we remind you of each one. In between:
- Stand pots on racks or feet a few centimetres from the wall, and replace rotten wood in planters and trellises.
- Fix leaks on the roof terrace, at wall bases and in pipes early; damp and termites go together.
- Each rainy season, shine a torch behind altar cabinets, wardrobes and ground-floor door frames.
- Check second-hand timber furniture before it comes indoors.
