Mosquito control in Go Vap: six new wards, surveys by appointment
Go Vap's ward map changed twice in 2025. Mergers on 1 January left the district with 12 wards; on 1 July, under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, these became six named wards, as the city now has wards instead of districts. House papers often show an old number; a house number, lane or residential area is enough for us to match it.
Go Vap is outside the areas we survey regularly, so visits are by appointment: call or message first and we confirm a time between 07:00 and 20:00.
- Hanh Thong ward
- Old ward 1 (already merged with wards 4 and 7) and old ward 3: Gia Dinh Park, CityLand Center Hills and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
- An Nhon ward
- Old wards 5 and 6 along Phan Van Tri, with CityLand Garden Hills and rows of terraced townhouses.
- Go Vap ward
- Old wards 10 and 17, with CityLand Park Hills at 18 Phan Van Tri.
- An Hoi Dong ward
- Old wards 15 and 16 in the north: small lanes around Le Duc Tho and Thong Nhat.
- Thong Tay Hoi ward
- Old wards 8 and 11, between Quang Trung and Thong Nhat.
- An Hoi Tay ward
- Old wards 12 and 14 along Quang Trung and Pham Van Chieu; ward 12 was once part of the Go Vap flower village.
Pot plants, roof terraces and shared walls: where Go Vap's mosquitoes breed
With more than 676,000 residents at the 2019 census (Thanh Nien), Go Vap is among the city's most populous districts. Narrow, multi-storey tube houses stand wall to wall along branching lanes, and very few have a large garden; mosquitoes here rarely come from one big garden, but from many small containers of water.
Cong An TP.HCM newspaper (2019) notes that old wards 11, 12 and 13 were the Go Vap flower village for more than 300 years before houses covered it; pots still line the walls, and the roof terrace is often the family garden. A saucer holds water for eggs after rain and foliage shelters adults by day. With houses side by side, mosquitoes also fly in from outside, so one spraying reduces them only for a while; clearing standing water regularly helps the result last longer. We check:
- Roof terrace: saucers, empty pots, watering buckets, tarpaulins and puddles after rain.
- Gutters blocked by leaves; a high point with no safe access gets a separate survey.
- A rooftop water tank with a missing or loose lid.
- Indoors: aircon and fridge drip trays, vases and bathroom buckets.
- The porch: water-plant bowls, decorative jars and things left outside.
Lane houses, roof gardens, rented rooms and shops: how the survey adapts
Our technicians choose the method after seeing the house; first, your Up specialist walks it with you.
- Tube house in a lane
- From the porch past each balcony to the roof terrace, marking the foliage, shaded corners and outdoor stairs where mosquitoes rest.
- Roof-terrace garden
- Pot by pot with you: saucers emptied and unused pots turned over, with water-plant bowls, small fish ponds and vegetables marked as areas to avoid.
- Townhouse or villa in a residential estate
- A yard or planting bed extends the survey to low shrubs, drain pits and drainage channels. If guards or the management office register visitors, our team's details reach you in advance.
- House let room by room
- Buckets in drying areas and corridors are easily forgotten as tenants change; please let the tenants know beforehand.
- Ground-floor shop or eatery
- Can be arranged outside opening hours. Tables and the customer area are wiped after the re-entry time, the period a sprayed area must stay empty.
Who sprays, and the methods in outline
UpClean's own pest-control technicians spray, using a permitted product with a valid registration number in Vietnam, as the label directs; your Up specialist watches and clears standing water. The plan sent beforehand names the product, the areas and the re-entry time. UpClean has declared its eligibility to provide pest-control services as required by regulation; the declaration and product information are available on request. Ask at the survey if you prefer a biological or lower-chemical approach.
- Space spraying
- A fine mist: adult numbers fall fast but briefly. In a lane, tell the neighbours the time.
- Resting places
- Low shrubs, shaded corners and leaf undersides: longer-lasting, with vegetables and play spots kept clear.
- Water that cannot be emptied
- Drain pits and ornamental ponds are handled spot by spot; a pond with fish is not treated directly.
- Repeat visits and warranty
- Set out in the written quote where they apply, and logged in each Up Report.
What mosquito control costs in Go Vap without a price list
There is no published rate. A tube house with a few pots by the door and a townhouse with a roof terrace full of plants are different jobs, so the figure follows the free survey, in an all-inclusive quote stating where we spray, the method, the re-entry time and the next visit. Any change needs your written approval. The quote reflects:
- Floors, balconies, roof terrace and porch to be treated.
- Plants and pots; any drain pits, water features or fish pond.
- The method, and repeat sprayings if you want fewer mosquitoes all rainy season.
- How much clearing, covering and wiping falls to your Up specialist.
- One house, a row of rented rooms, or neighbours booking together.
- Mosquito control service
- What the service includes, step by step.

Narrow lanes and neighbours: preparing and booking
Most Go Vap homes have no management office, but narrow lanes and shared walls mean thinking of the neighbours; safety instructions come from our technicians.
- Call or message 0968 726 135 on Zalo or WhatsApp with photos of the terrace and porch, the worst hours for mosquitoes, and your house number and lane. We confirm a slot, then the free survey.
- At the survey, mention young children, older relatives, anyone with a respiratory condition, and any birds, pets or fish. The written plan and price follow, with no need to decide at once.
- Show us the nearest parking; if the lane is too narrow, the equipment is carried in on foot.
- On the day, close windows, bring in washing, put away toys and pet bowls, cover the water tank and fish pond as the technicians advise, and agree which floor goes first so older relatives and children can rest.
- Rain or strong wind usually moves the spraying date. Use the terrace and pick vegetables only after the times you are given; outdoor surfaces are wiped and the Up Report lists the points to watch.
- Your specialist's name and photo arrive beforehand; if they come more than 15 minutes late, 10% comes off that visit's invoice. Moving or cancelling is free with over 24 hours' notice; a later cancellation carries a 30% fee.
