Former District 9 in five wards, and how surveys are booked
District 9 became part of Thu Duc City on 1 January 2021. On 1 July 2025, Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 regrouped its thirteen wards into five; wards are now the local units that replaced districts. Send the address you know, old ward or new.
We survey anywhere in the former district between 07:00 and 20:00 daily. It stretches from the Hanoi Highway to the Long Phuoc islet and is not one of our regular areas, so the exact slot is confirmed only at booking.
- Long Phuoc
- Truong Thanh and the old Long Phuoc, on the Dong Nai River. Houses stand far apart; many plots have a pond, a fruit orchard and a wide porch.
- Long Truong
- Phu Huu and the old Long Truong, along Nguyen Duy Trinh: new housing on former farmland, and projects such as Verosa Park.
- Long Binh
- The old Long Binh and the rest of Long Thanh My; most of the 271-hectare Vinhomes Grand Park lies here.
- Tang Nhon Phu
- Tan Phu, Hiep Phu, Tang Nhon Phu A and B and part of Long Thanh My: townhouses around Le Van Viet and Do Xuan Hop, and rows of rental rooms near the Hi-Tech Park.
- Phuoc Long
- Phuoc Binh, Phuoc Long A and B: long-settled streets and alleys along Duong Dinh Hoi and Do Xuan Hop, next to the former District 2.
Orchards, ponds and new houses beside old gardens
Former District 9 covers almost 114 km² and was long a thinly settled edge of the city, mostly orchards and paddy fields. Many plots are now partly housing, so in Long Truong and Long Phuoc a new house often adjoins a neighbour's orchard. Adult mosquitoes rest by day under dense canopy; while the next garden stays as it is, they keep flying in, and spraying your grounds lowers numbers for a period only.
They breed in standing water, and the rainy season runs from May to November. More pots and water features mean more water after rain; riverside soil stays damp, and a pond cannot be tipped out like a saucer. Where we usually find water:
- Orchards: tree hollows, leaf bases, coconut shells, pots and buckets left under the trees.
- Huts, tool sheds and fences: tarpaulins and items left out for weeks.
- Still ponds, decorative jars and fountains switched off for a long time.
- Porches and roof terraces: gutters blocked with leaves, puddles on the floor.
- Loose-lidded water tanks, blocked drains and drain pits.
Garden homes, townhouses, flats and rental rooms: what the survey covers
We walk the property, noting resting places and standing water. The focus depends on the home:
- Garden homes in Long Phuoc and Long Truong
- Orchard, pond, hut, tool shed, fence and porch; vegetable beds and fruiting trees are marked on the plan so our technicians can limit the spray area.
- Townhouses in housing projects
- Front yard, roof terrace, balconies and drains. A high gutter with no safe access is surveyed separately.
- Low-floor flats
- Plant saucers, aircon drip trays, balcony drains and window screens first; if treatment is still needed, we survey and handle the building's paperwork where required.
- Rental rooms near the Hi-Tech Park
- Shared walkways, bathroom buckets and aircon trays, timed around tenants' working hours.
- A new house beside a neighbour's garden
- The boundary gets most attention: shrubs by the fence, shady porch corners. With mosquitoes arriving from outside, a full rainy season usually needs repeat visits.
How large grounds are treated, and how to prepare
Our technicians choose the method after the survey. The written plan names the product, where it will be applied and the re-entry time, meaning how long people and animals keep away from a treated area. Products come only from the permitted list and carry a valid registration number in Vietnam.
- At the survey, mention young children, older people, anyone with a breathing condition, and any pets, poultry, fish ponds or beehive.
- During spraying, shut doors and windows onto the garden; bring in laundry, toys and pet bowls.
- Cover ponds and water tanks as directed; people and animals stay out of the garden, and produce stays unpicked, until the times in the plan have passed.
- Space spraying
- A fine mist that quickly cuts adult numbers but does not last; used before a garden gathering or when numbers are very high.
- Resting places
- Under outdoor stairs, shady corners, shrubs and leaf undersides; longer-lasting, keeping clear of play areas and vegetable beds.
- Ponds and drain pits
- Case by case; tell us about fish so nothing goes into their water.
- Clearing standing water
- Your Up specialist's job, then the household's each week; the base of every method.
- Lower-chemical options
- Ask at the survey; any choice is recorded in the plan.
Weekend garden homes: treating before the family returns
Many garden homes in Long Phuoc and Long Truong are lived in only at weekends. Through the week, rain sits in pots, buckets and tarpaulins, and mosquitoes breed before you return. Book early enough to leave room for the re-entry time; before handing back, your Up specialist wipes outdoor furniture, the swing and the play area.
- Tell us your arrival date, or the date of a gathering.
- Before leaving each week, upturn buckets and pots, empty saucers and cover water containers.
- Have gutters and drains checked after heavy rain.
- Pool cleaning
- For a pool that is out of use.
- Water tank cleaning
- For a tank with a loose-fitting lid.
How mosquito control in District 9 is priced
We publish no rate: a low-floor balcony and a garden home with an orchard and pond are very different jobs. After the free survey, your all-inclusive quote arrives in writing with the spray area, method, re-entry time and repeat schedule, and changes only with your written agreement. It depends on:
- The garden, porch, roof terrace and number of floors to treat.
- Planting density, and the number of ponds, drain pits and water features.
- The method and the number of repeat visits through the rainy season.
- The water clearing, covering and wiping down done by your Up specialist.
- Location: District 9 is an area where we ask you to call first.
- Warranty, if any: on the terms written into the quote.
Booking a survey in District 9
- Send your address, garden photos and the hours mosquitoes are worst to 0968 726 135 by WhatsApp, Zalo or phone.
- We confirm a slot, survey free between 07:00 and 20:00, and send the plan and quote in writing.
- Once you agree, you get your Up specialist's name and photo, plus the technicians' details for estate registration.
- On the day your specialist empties containers and covers belongings while our technicians spray; rain or strong wind usually means a new date.
- After the re-entry time, outdoor surfaces are wiped and the Up Report follows. If we are over 15 minutes late, that visit is 10% less.
