District 6's four wards, and how surveys are booked
The wards of the former District 6 were rearranged twice in 2025: on 1 January, wards 3 and 4 merged with ward 1, ward 6 and part of ward 5 with ward 2, and the rest of ward 5 with ward 9; from 1 July, Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 made the whole area four wards, which replace districts in addresses. Old addresses on signboards still work.
We survey in all four wards between 07:00 and 20:00, but District 6 is not on our regular schedule. Call first: the time is confirmed when you book, once technicians are free and clear of loading hours on the market streets.
- Binh Tay ward
- The old wards 2 and 9, centred on the market the merchant Quach Dam built and surrounded by rows of wholesale shophouses.
- Binh Tien ward
- The old wards 1, 7 and 8: terraced houses and shops on the roads, alleys behind, many homes doubling as small shops.
- Binh Phu ward
- The old wards 10 and 11 with part of ward 16 from the former District 8, about 2.86 km², crossed by Vo Van Kiet Avenue.
- Phu Lam ward
- The old wards 12, 13 and 14, north of Binh Phu: multi-storey houses deep in the alleys, shops along the main roads.
Shophouses, alley houses and homes with a yard: where mosquitoes breed and rest
Mosquitoes need standing water to lay eggs and shade to rest in by day; where those are depends on the house. Typical signs are mosquitoes at the shop front at dawn and dusk, and people upstairs bitten by day. They also fly in from outside, so one spraying reduces them only for a time.
- Wholesale shophouse
- Gaps between carton stacks and the space under shelving and stairs are dark resting places. Buckets and tubs, stock or household, fill with rain if left upright on the porch or roof terrace, as does a sagging tarpaulin over goods.
- Terraced house in Binh Tien
- Home behind, small shop in front. We check vases, buckets in the bathroom, the drip tray under the fridge and plant pots by the door.
- Tube house in a Phu Lam alley
- Aircon units often hang on the back alley wall, so their drip trays and pipes are checked, with blocked drains, alley manholes, gutters and the roof terrace.
- Binh Phu house with a yard
- Front yard, planters and boundary wall: plant saucers, unused pots, low shrubs and shady corners provide both standing water and shelter.
What happens on a mosquito visit, step by step
Our technicians spray; your Up specialist, the UpClean staff member assigned to your home, handles water, covers and cleaning up.
- Enquiry
- Tell us when and where mosquitoes are worst, with photos.
- Survey
- We walk from the shop to the roof terrace and back alley, marking resting places and spots where water collects.
- Plan and quote
- A written plan gives the method, the spray area, the product to be used, the re-entry time (how long to keep out of a treated area), the repeat schedule and the all-inclusive price.
- Clearing water, then spraying
- Your Up specialist empties or upturns containers and covers stock with tarpaulins; the technicians then spray with a permitted product validly registered in Vietnam, applied as the label directs.
- Cleaning up and reporting
- After the re-entry time, seating, counters and shelves in the sprayed area are wiped; the Up Report records the treated areas and water points to watch.
How the cost of mosquito control in District 6 is set
A multi-level stockroom and a two-bedroom alley house cannot share one figure, so we quote only after a free visit. The all-inclusive quote is in writing, states the method, spray area, repeat schedule and re-entry time, and does not change without your written agreement. It depends on:
- The size of the shop, stockroom, living floors, porch, yard or roof terrace to treat.
- Planting, planters, drains and water features.
- The method chosen after the survey and the number of repeat visits in the rainy season.
- The stock to move or cover, and the clearing and wiping your Up specialist does. Warranty terms, where they apply, are written into the quote.
Rainy season, peak trading and the dengue advice
The rainy season usually runs from about May to November. One spraying before a family gathering can meet a short-term need; keeping numbers down all season takes repeat visits, at an interval the technicians set and write into the quote. They also suggest the hour, within 07:00–20:00; rain or strong wind usually means a new date. On market streets, pick a day with fewer deliveries and avoid the year-end peak, when cartons fill the shop.
According to Vietnam's Ministry of Health and the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, dengue is spread by the striped Aedes mosquito, which breeds in fairly clean water in containers around the home and bites mainly by day, above all early morning and late afternoon. The health message "no larvae, no dengue" puts removing breeding sites first; spraying does not replace the health authorities' work. For a home that doubles as a store:
- Cover jars and water tanks tightly, the roof-terrace tank above all, and change vase water often, altar vases included.
- Turn unused buckets and basins upside down, and throw out broken items that can hold water.
- Sleep under a net, by day too, and take anyone with a high fever to a medical facility rather than treating them at home.

Before spraying day: stock, staff, children and pets
In a townhouse or stockroom, preparation is about goods and people:
- At the survey, tell us about fish tanks, caged birds, dogs or cats, young children, older people and anyone with a breathing condition.
- Agree which parts of the stockroom to clear or cover; food and dry goods are sealed or taken out of the spray area as the technicians direct.
- During spraying, keep windows and doors shut, bring in laundry, toys and pet bowls, and cover domestic water tanks, fish tanks and bowls of water plants.
- Family, employees and pets stay out of the treated area until the re-entry time in the plan has passed.
- In a narrow alley, point out where to park at the alley mouth; the equipment is carried in on foot.
Booking a survey in District 6
- Call 0968 726 135 or message on Zalo or WhatsApp with the address of the stall, stockroom or house and photos of places where water may collect.
- The free survey avoids market peak hours; the plan and quote arrive in writing before you decide, and the specialist's name and photo before the visit.
- A VAT invoice is issued on request by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited. Rescheduling is free with 24 hours' notice, otherwise 30%; a specialist more than 15 minutes late means 10% off that visit.
