Mosquito control in District 12 — An Phu Dong, Thoi An, Trung My Tay

Since 1 July 2025 Ho Chi Minh City has used wards, its local administrative units, instead of districts (Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15). District 12's eleven old wards became five, each moving across whole, so whichever ward name your papers show, old or new, we can match it when you book.

All five wards are in our survey area, served by appointment rather than on a regular round. We work 07:00 to 20:00, seven days a week; contact us first, as the date is fixed only once our technicians are scheduled.

An Phu Dong

Formerly An Phu Dong and Thanh Loc, along the Saigon River with the Ba Thon creek running through; riverside garden houses stand here.

Thoi An

Dong Hung Thuan

Formerly Tan Thoi Nhat, Tan Hung Thuan and Dong Hung Thuan, beside Go Vap: mostly lane townhouses off Truong Chinh and Nguyen Van Qua.

Adult mosquitoes rest by day under thick foliage and breed in water standing on the property. District 12 has both: An Phu Dong follows the Saigon River, Thoi An is laced with canals, and garden houses have large trees close to their walls. Mosquitoes also fly in over the fence, so near water one spraying lowers numbers only for a while.

Tuoi Tre reported that on 6 November 2025 the tidal sluice on the Ba Thon creek in An Phu Dong broke at the year's highest tide, flooding the surrounding neighbourhood; in 2025 it reported that the Tan Thoi Hiep 21 road, which used to flood in heavy rain, had been included in an upgrade project. Once floodwater recedes, first check buckets, tarpaulins and anything in the yard or on the ground floor still holding water.

So our technicians spray and your Up specialist helps you remove standing water; without that second half, the effect of spraying is hard to keep. Typical spots:

• Gardens by a river or creek: tree hollows, leaf sheaths, coconut shells, unused pots.
• Ornamental ponds with little flow, water-plant bowls, decorative jars.
• Drain pits, blocked channels, leaf-filled gutters, loosely lidded water tanks.
• Rental rows: buckets by the doors, aircon drip trays, the shared drying yard.

Riverside garden houses

We mark thickets, shady corners, the creek-side fence and wherever water could settle, leaving vegetable beds, play areas and fish ponds outside the spray area.

Lane townhouses

We check the roof terrace, balconies, gutters and front drain pit, carrying equipment in on foot where the lane is narrow. Water on a high roof or in a gutter without a walkway is noted rather than reached.

Rows of rental rooms

Rooms, drying yard and shared walkways are surveyed in one visit, and tenants are told when to bring in laundry and keep away.

Small storerooms beside the home

Goods are covered or moved as you direct, photographed in place first; spraying stays within the agreed area.

Apartments

Balcony first: plant saucers, floor drain, aircon drip tray. If spraying is still needed, we handle any paperwork building management requires.

Mention everything at the survey so our technicians can choose the method and mark the area; ask then if you would prefer a biological or lower-chemical approach.

Fish ponds

Tell us in advance so nothing is applied directly to the water; the pond is covered as the technicians direct, and your Up specialist asks whether to adjust the pump or aerator during spraying.

Vegetables and fruit

Beds stay outside the spray area; wait the period you are given before harvesting.

Pets, children and older relatives

Tell us at the survey, including anyone with a respiratory condition and any beehive. For outdoor spraying the household usually stays indoors with garden doors and windows shut; pets go out again only after the re-entry time, meaning how long to keep out of a sprayed area.

Tenants and neighbours

Give tenants a day's notice or more, warn next door if spraying reaches the boundary, and show us where to park and how to reach the garden and roof terrace.

We publish no rate: a townhouse roof terrace and a creekside garden with ponds and layered planting are different jobs. The survey is free; the written all-inclusive quote states the spray area, method, re-entry time and repeat schedule, and changes only with your written agreement. The price depends on:

• The yard, garden, veranda, roof terrace and floors to treat.
• Planting density and the number of ponds, water features and drain pits.
• Rooms and rows in a rental property; the floor area of a storeroom beside the home.
• The method and the number of repeat sprayings in the rainy season.
• Your Up specialist's clearing, covering and wiping down. Any warranty terms are written into the quote.

The rainy season usually runs from about May to November, when the health authorities advise stepping up dengue prevention. One spraying may cover a family gathering; fewer mosquitoes all season usually means repeat visits, at an interval our technicians propose in the quote.

Vietnam's Ministry of Health puts removing larvae and standing water first. Home spraying does not replace public-health measures, and anyone with a high fever should be examined at a medical facility. Between visits:

• Once a week, empty plant saucers, turn spare pots over and pick up coconut shells.
• Recheck buckets, covers and drain pits after heavy rain or a high tide.
• Keep tanks and jars covered, and change vase water often.
• Sleep under a net, by day too, and allow the local authority's outbreak spraying.

• Call or message 0968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo with your address, photos of the garden and any pond, and when mosquitoes are worst.
• We set a free survey between 07:00 and 20:00; the plan and quote follow in writing, and the spraying date is fixed only when you accept.
• On the day your Up specialist clears water and sets covers, then monitors each point as our technicians spray the agreed area. Rain or strong wind means a new slot.
• After the re-entry time, outdoor furniture is wiped and your Up Report follows by WhatsApp or Zalo: areas treated, water removed, points to watch, repeat dates.
• Pay after the walk-through, by bank transfer or cash. Changing or cancelling is free with 24 hours' notice or more; a later cancellation carries a 30% fee.
