Tan Binh's six wards, served by appointment
On 1 July 2025, when the city replaced its districts with wards as the local unit, Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 regrouped the fifteen numbered wards of the former Tan Binh district into six named wards, mostly three old wards to one. Old Ward 15 was split between Tan Binh ward and the new Tan Son ward, so “Tan Binh ward” is only one of the six.
We take survey bookings in every ward between 07:00 and 20:00, by appointment rather than on a regular round: we arrange a date and time for each booking and confirm it to you.
- Tan Son Hoa ward
- Old Wards 1, 2 and 3, beside Phu Nhuan, on Truong Son, Hoang Van Thu and Hong Ha.
- Tan Son Nhat ward
- Old Wards 4, 5 and 7: townhouses and business premises along Cong Hoa, Hoang Hoa Tham and Ut Tich.
- Tan Hoa ward
- Old Wards 6, 8 and 9, around Tan Binh market on Ly Thuong Kiet.
- Bay Hien ward
- Old Wards 10, 11 and 12, with the old weaving village and the K300 townhouse area.
- Tan Binh ward
- Old Wards 13 and 14 and part of 15, along Cong Hoa and Truong Chinh and around Bau Cat.
- Tan Son ward
- The rest of old Ward 15, bordering the airport fence and Go Vap to the north.
Few gardens, still mosquitoes: where they breed in a Tan Binh house
The former district had nearly 475,000 residents on about 22.4 km² in 2019, and Tan Son Nhat airport takes a sizeable share of that land. Narrow tube houses share walls along the lanes; in 2013 Tuoi Tre newspaper described a lane off Pham Van Bach where more than twenty houses backed onto the airport fence. With so few gardens, mosquitoes breed in small pockets of water on roof terraces and balconies, and indoors.
Near the runway and busy roads such as Cong Hoa, many families keep the windows shut and the aircon on for hours, which means more condensation. In a closed room with mosquitoes, check the drip tray and the gap around the aircon pipe first.
In the rainy season, roughly May to November, the health authorities advise stepping up dengue prevention, and their message is “no larvae, no dengue”. Spraying reduces adult mosquitoes for a while and does not replace their measures; anyone with a high fever should be taken to a medical facility.
- Roof terrace: plant saucers, idle buckets, tarpaulins, puddles after rain.
- Joined metal roofs and leaf-choked gutters; a high point with no safe walkway is noted for a separate survey.
- Rooftop tanks with open or loose lids.
- Indoors: vases, aircon and fridge drip trays, bathroom buckets.
- Resting places by day: behind curtains, under beds, in wardrobes, behind stacked stock.
- Guide: mosquitoes in the rainy season
- A weekly routine, and when spraying is worth booking.
Fabric stores, home workshops and rental rooms
Many buildings here are home and workplace at once. Kinh te Sai Gon magazine (2023) reported that the Bay Hien weaving village, in old Ward 11, had about 1,700 households in the trade in the 1990s; many of its workshop rooms later became rental rooms. Tan Binh market on Ly Thuong Kiet has more than 3,000 trading households, mostly in clothing and fabric, and in the lanes nearby a ground-floor storeroom with the family living above is a familiar arrangement.
- Ground-floor fabric or clothing store
- Packed stock leaves dark corners; moving some of it now and then airs them. Mention the store at the survey: if treatment is near it, your Up specialist covers fabric and cartons fully first, and you reopen once the re-entry time in the plan has passed and the area is cleaned.
- Home sewing workshop
- Booked for when the workshop is shut, within 07:00–20:00; tables, machines and work in progress are covered first.
- Rental rooms, serviced apartments, small hotels
- Checked floor by floor: bathrooms, balconies, drying areas, roof terrace. The owner tells occupants in advance, and the visit is scheduled around vacant rooms. Emptying bathroom buckets and vases can join the room-cleaning routine.
- Lane townhouse
- The survey concentrates on the roof terrace, the roof, the water tank and the plants by the door.
- Apartment on Hong Ha, Pho Quang or Cong Hoa
- Balcony first: floor drain, saucers, aircon tray. We prepare any registration the management office requires.
How the price is set in Tan Binh
Mosquito control has no published rate: a family townhouse and a five-storey building with a stockroom below and rental rooms above are different jobs. After the free survey you receive a written all-inclusive quote giving the method, the area, the repeat schedule and the re-entry time (how long people and pets keep out of a treated space). The price changes only with your written agreement. It reflects:
- Floors, rooms, and the roof terrace, balcony and porch to treat.
- Any storeroom, workshop or rental rooms.
- Water that cannot be emptied, such as drain pits, tanks and water features, and the pots on the roof.
- The method and the repeat sprayings in the rainy months.
- The covering, clearing and cleaning done by your Up specialist.
Who does what, and how to prepare
UpClean's own technicians do all the spraying, with a product permitted and validly registered in Vietnam, used as the label directs and named in the plan you receive beforehand. Ask at the survey if you prefer a biological or lower-chemical approach. Your Up specialist empties reachable containers, covers belongings, keeps spraying to the agreed area and cleans once the re-entry time has passed. Before the visit:
- Tell us about anyone with a respiratory illness, older relatives, young children, fish, birds, dogs or cats.
- Choose a time outside trading hours and deliveries, and warn tenants.
- Close windows and balcony doors, put away food, laundry, toys and pet bowls, and cover aquariums and water containers as instructed.
- If a vehicle cannot turn in your lane, tell us the nearest parking.
- Afterwards the Up Report arrives by Zalo or WhatsApp: areas sprayed, water points cleared, points to watch. Any warranty and the repeat schedule follow the written quote.
Booking a survey in Tan Binh
- Call or message 0968 726 135 on Zalo or WhatsApp with the building type, floors, when mosquitoes are worst and the address; “Ward 13” or “Tan Binh ward” both work.
- We set a date and confirm the free survey, between 07:00 and 20:00. The plan and quote follow in writing; the spraying date is fixed once you accept.
- Your specialist's name and photo arrive beforehand. If the specialist is more than 15 minutes late, that visit's invoice is reduced by 10%. Rain or strong wind usually postpones spraying.
- Payment is after the walk-through, in cash or by transfer; VAT invoices are issued on request by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited. Moving or cancelling is free with 24 hours' notice; later, a 30% cancellation fee applies.
