Washing machine cleaning in District 9 — Vinhomes Grand Park, Tang Nhon Phu, Long Truong

District 9 joined Thu Duc City on 1 January 2021, and on 1 July 2025 Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 regrouped its thirteen wards into five, now the city's local units. A purchase contract, land-use certificate and power bill may each show a different address; any of them will do.

Bookings are open in all five wards, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. The area stretches from the Hanoi Highway out to the Long Phuoc islet, so each start time is agreed as you book.

Long Binh ward

Vinhomes Grand Park began handing over in 2019 and was reported in 2024 to have more than 60,000 residents. The machine usually stands on the loggia, sometimes in the same recess as the aircon outdoor unit; one bought at handover that has never had its drum out has had several rainy seasons to build up residue.

With neighbouring sub-zones, Ring Road 3 and Nguyen Xien still under construction, fine dust drifts onto the lid and into the detergent drawer, then washes into the drum, and from May to November damp lingers on the loggia after each load. Dust, damp and detergent residue meet between the inner drum and the outer tub, out of sight.

Garden houses in Long Phuoc and Long Truong

By the river, a machine under the eaves gathers leaves and soil; in a weekend home, clean an idle machine before its first wash.

Front-loader

The usual apartment machine, with more parts to remove; the door seal and detergent drawer get particular attention. About 2–3 hours: 690,000 VND up to 9 kg, 790,000 VND above.

Top-loader

Common in houses. The pulsator comes out and the drum is separated to reach the shaft and the bottom of the outer tub, where residue gathers most. About 1.5–2 hours: 450,000 VND up to 9 kg, 550,000 VND above.

Washer-dryer

Door type and capacity, plus 150,000 VND for the drying system. Some outer tubs are one piece and do not come apart the usual way; we say what can be cleaned before you book.

Fixed price per machine, by door type and label capacity: top-loaders 450,000 VND up to 9 kg or 550,000 VND above; front-loaders 690,000 VND or 790,000 VND on the same split; washer-dryers add 150,000 VND. Typical District 9 homes:

• Each price covers a first test run, floor protection, drum removal, cleaning of the inner drum, outer tub, drain filter and hose, reassembly, a test cycle with you and the Up Report; several machines at one address share one visit.
• If the type or capacity differs from the booking, any change needs your written agreement; you pay after the walk-through, with an invoice on request.

Townships and gated projects here usually ask residents to notify service visits; specialists show ID at the lobby, tools go in the goods lift and work keeps to contractor hours. We send the specialist's name and photo ahead, and formalities after an on-time arrival are not counted as lateness. The drum is cleaned where the machine stands, dirty water is collected, and nothing leaves your home.

• Empty the drum and clear drying racks and anything around the machine.
• In a multi-storey townhouse, the stairs to the laundry are covered while tools are carried.
• At a garden house, show where to park and the nearest water supply and drain. In a let flat, the owner warns the tenant, who can let the specialist in and watch the test run.

A machine used daily needs its drum out about every 6 months: sooner with young children or sensitive skin at home, before each new occupant of a rental and before the first load in a weekend house; later for one or two people, judging by smell and black flecks.
