Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 reorganised the former district's ten wards into five on 1 July 2025, and wards have replaced districts in addresses. Some land was cut away: part of old Tan Tao went to Tan Vinh Loc commune, part of Tan Tao A to Tan Nhut commune. The name "Binh Tan ward" now fits only a small part of the old district.

Any address in the former district, commune areas included, can book from 07:00 to 20:00 daily, with the day and time confirmed at booking.

Binh Tan had more than 784,000 people at the 2019 census, according to Thanh Nien, the most of any district in the city. Alley townhouses, rental rows near workshops, newer estates around Ten Lua and apartment blocks along Vo Van Kiet each keep the machine in a different place.

On the western edge of the city, National Route 1, Kinh Duong Vuong, Vo Van Kiet and Tan Tao Industrial Park send dust indoors, onto the lid and into the detergent drawer of machines kept on a roof terrace, balcony or back yard. With humidity averaging about 79.5% and rain from May to November, drums dry slowly. Busy homes run several loads a day, so residue and lint build up between drum and tub, under the pulsator (a top-loader's wash plate) and around the shaft, out of sight.

• A shared machine in a rental row: clean clothes still smell damp.
• Pale clothes, towels and sheets come out with tiny black or brown flecks.
• A front-loader on an apartment loggia: black spots and standing water in the door seal.

Rental rows

A multi-storey house may have two machines: a large drum for bedding and a front-loader for daily wear. Both are done in one appointment, each at its own price.

Apartment on Vo Van Kiet

Front-loaders and washer-dryers usually sit on the loggia or in a cabinet. A machine that came with the flat, or stood idle for weeks, should be cleaned before the first wash.

Photos of the machine, its rating label and its spot let the specialist identify the model. At home: test run and condition photos, covers down, casing opened and drum lifted out; drum, tub, pulsator, shaft, door seal, drawer, drain filter and drain path cleaned; then reassembly and one full cycle. Nothing leaves your home.

Top-loader

Usual in townhouses. The pulsator comes out and the drum is separated so its outer face and the tub floor can be scrubbed; about 1.5–2 hours. 450,000 VND up to 9 kg, 550,000 VND over 9 kg.

Front-loader

Usual in apartments; more layers and parts, so about 2–3 hours, with extra care on the rubber seal and the drawer. 690,000 VND up to 9 kg, 790,000 VND over 9 kg.

Washer-dryer

The price for its door type and capacity plus 150,000 VND for the drying system. On one-piece outer tubs we say beforehand what can be cleaned.

Japanese-market, commercial or built-in

Priced after we see photos. For a machine still under the maker's warranty, check its terms before booking.

Two things set the price: top or front loading, and the capacity on the rating label. For typical Binh Tan homes:

• Each price is per machine and covers the check, drum removal, cleaning, reassembly, test run and Up Report; several machines at one address share one appointment.
• The price is confirmed in writing before the day; changes need your written agreement. Pay after checking the result, by transfer or cash; VAT invoices on request from Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited (tax code 0316973414).

• Busy alleys in Binh Tri Dong and Binh Hung Hoa: show us the nearest parking, and the specialist walks the tools in.
• Roof-terrace machines in the rainy season: keep a covered corner free so dismantling is safe; without one, we agree a new time or a spot indoors.
• Shared machines: warn tenants of the downtime and leave the drum empty.
• The drum is cleaned near a tap and drain; dirty water is collected.
• Apartment buildings: we send the specialist's name and photo for registration; waiting in the lobby after an on-time arrival is not counted as lateness.

• About every 6 months for daily use; sooner for large households, young children, sensitive skin or a shared rental machine, and before a new tenant if it comes with the room.
• Between visits: leave the door and drawer ajar, take clothes out promptly, check pockets, and run the tub-clean programme on an empty drum as the maker advises.
