Curtain cleaning in District 6: four wards, one booking area
Under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, the former District 6 has been four wards since 1 July 2025; wards are the local units the city now uses instead of districts. Some wards had already merged that January, so a shop sign, an invoice and a tenancy agreement may each give the address differently. Send the house number and street and we find the new ward.
Bookings are taken across the whole former district from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, every day, with the slot confirmed when you book.
- Binh Tay ward
- The old Wards 2 and 9 around Binh Tay Market, which the merchant Quach Dam built, packed with wholesale townhouses.
- Binh Tien ward
- Three former wards, 1, 7 and 8: shopfronts on the road and terraced alley homes behind, built wall to wall.
- Binh Phu ward
- The old Wards 10 and 11 and part of Ward 16 of the former District 8, on Vo Van Kiet Avenue; mostly townhouses and terraced houses.
- Phu Lam ward
- Former Wards 12, 13 and 14 in the north: tall, narrow alley houses, and shops on the main roads.
Homes above a shop: why curtains in District 6 dull quickly
Around Binh Tay Market, in traditional Cho Lon, the ground floor is often a shop or dry-goods store with the family living above. From early morning, lorries, carts and delivery motorbikes send road dust, packaging lint and the smell of the stock up to the higher floors whenever a window is open.
Curtains here work hard. At the front they block the afternoon sun and screen the room from houses across a narrow street; inside, many families hang fabric to separate the altar and kitchen from the living room. Drawn many times a day, they soil fastest at the edges, while ground-floor hems collect dust from the shop.
The rainy season runs from May to November, with relative humidity of about 80% according to the Ho Chi Minh City government portal. In deep tube houses with few side windows, heavy curtains that hang for months pick up a damp smell.
- The street-facing side noticeably darker than the room side.
- Kitchen dividers smelling of cooking oil, the altar curtain of incense smoke.
- A damp smell in upstairs bedrooms after days with the windows shut.

Heavy drapes, sheers, blackout and room dividers: the method for each
Your Up specialist, the identity-verified UpClean team member who carries out the visit, reads the care label, tests colourfastness on a hidden corner and measures each set with you before choosing the method.
- Heavy front-window drapes
- Both faces and the folds vacuumed, then steam-cleaned while they hang; suited to heavy curtains full of road dust.
- Sheers
- Washed gently, one set per load, so the fibres do not fray; when they will be dry and back on the rail is written into the quote.
- Bedroom blackout curtains
- Handled lightly so the coating does not crack; coating already peeling is photographed and shown to you first.
- Altar and kitchen dividers
- Often thin or printed fabric on hooks, carrying smoke and grease. Old grease may only fade, and you are told so beforehand.
- Roller and slatted blinds in shops
- Send a photo showing the roller, slats or cords, and we assess it before giving a price.
- Curtains and blinds by type

What curtain cleaning costs in District 6: examples by home
Multiply the curtain area in m² by 40,000 VND, then add 100,000 VND once for the visit if the curtains are to be taken down and re-hung; no visit costs less than 400,000 VND. The areas below are a guide; the exact figure is measured at your home before the price is fixed.
- The colour test, vacuuming, rail wipe, steaming and the Up Report, our photo record of the visit, are included in the rate per m².
- Once measured, the price is fixed; any change needs your written approval. Replacing eyelets, straightening rails or sewing torn seams is not part of the service.
- Bedroom with one window
- About 4 m², cleaned on the rail: 400,000 VND (the sum is 160,000 VND, so the minimum per visit applies). Adding curtains from other rooms makes better use of the minimum.
- Shophouse near the market, ground floor and two storeys
- About 28 m² including the altar divider, taken down and re-hung: 1,220,000 VND.
- Four-storey terraced house in Binh Phu
- About 42 m², taken down and re-hung: 1,780,000 VND.
- Townhouse with a high-ceilinged living room
- About 50 m², cleaned on the rail: 2,000,000 VND. Curtains near the ceiling are assessed from photos first, to choose the ladder.

Alley houses, shopfronts and apartments: getting to the windows
Most homes here are townhouses on the street or down an alley, with steep stairs. Tell us the number of floors, the window heights and where a ladder can stand, so the specialist brings the right equipment and does not knock stock or altar items on the way up. In an apartment, reception may ask for registration and the goods lift; we send the specialist's details early.
- Say where we can park if the house is deep in an alley or on a market street.
- Clear stock and cartons from the ground-floor windows before we arrive.
- Mention any curtain that hangs above an altar or a glass display cabinet.
- After handover, open the windows or run a fan so the curtains dry evenly.
Cleaning intervals and booking steps
Most rooms need cleaning every 6–12 months; front curtains on a market street, homes above a shop and kitchens in heavy use need it sooner.
- Send photos of the curtains on each floor, rough sizes and your address to 0968 726 135 on Zalo or WhatsApp, or use the Quote page.
- You receive an estimate and the proposed method, pick a time outside the shop's busy hours, and get your specialist's name and photo the day before.
- On the day the specialist measures again to fix the price, cleans each set by its fabric, then re-hangs it and sets the pleats with you.
- You pay after checking, by transfer or cash; a VAT invoice is issued on request by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited (tax code 0316973414). A set you are unhappy with is redone free if you tell us within 48 hours of the Up Report.
- Front curtains on a trading street
- About every 3–6 months.
- Kitchen and altar dividers
- When smoke or cooking smells stay in the fabric.
- Upstairs bedrooms
- Once or twice a year, ideally just after the rainy season.
- Before Tết
- Many families add curtains to the year-end clean, so book early.
