Five new wards: where we take curtain bookings in Tan Phu
Split from Tan Binh District in 2003, Tan Phu covered 15.97 km² and had about 30,391 people per km² in 2019. On 1 July 2025 Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 turned its eleven wards into five, now the unit used in addresses, and moved part of the old Son Ky into Binh Hung Hoa ward, in the former Binh Tan. Today's "Tan Phu ward" is only part of the old district of that name.
Curtain cleaning can be booked in any ward of the former Tan Phu, 07:00 to 20:00, weekends included. It is not one of our regular areas, so the arrival time is arranged when you contact us; an address in either the old or the new form will do.
- Tay Thanh ward
- Tay Thanh and part of Son Ky, where Tan Binh Industrial Park stands.
- Tan Son Nhi ward
- Tan Son Nhi, the remainder of Son Ky and pieces of Tan Quy and Tan Thanh; Celadon City now carries this ward in its address.
- Phu Tho Hoa ward
- Named after the old Phu Tho Hoa, adding a piece of Tan Thanh and the rest of Tan Quy; mostly alley tube houses.
- Tan Phu ward
- Shares the old district's name, yet consists only of Phu Trung, Hoa Thanh and parts of Tan Thoi Hoa and Tan Thanh.
- Phu Thanh ward
- The south of the old district: Hiep Tan, Phu Thanh and the part of Tan Thoi Hoa not merged into Tan Phu ward.
Alley homes, small workshops and lakeside apartments: why curtains get dirty here
At that density most Tan Phu homes are tube houses in alleys, wall to wall with the neighbours, with windows mainly at the front and back. With the house opposite only a few metres away, curtains stay drawn most of the day and take in alley dust and cooking fumes from close-packed kitchens.
Near Tan Binh Industrial Park and along lorry routes, fine dust settles faster on street-facing curtains, and a small workshop or stockroom on the ground floor sends lint and paper dust upstairs. Celadon City is the other side of the picture: an 82 ha urban area with an ecological park of over 16 ha. Its apartments see less road dust, but lake breezes and the May-to-November rains leave heavy curtains in lake-facing units damp when windows stay shut.
- Alley-facing curtains drawn all day, grey on the outer face.
- Curtains near the kitchen smelling of cooking oil.
- Ground-floor curtains carrying lint and paper dust from a small workshop.
- A damp smell in lake-facing apartments after days of rain.

Heavy fabric, sheers, blackout and alley-door curtains: how each is treated
Your Up specialist, an identity-verified cleaner trained to the Up Standard, reads the care label, tests colourfastness on a hidden corner and measures each set with you before choosing the method:
- Heavy fabric
- Vacuumed on both sides and in the pleats, then steam-cleaned while still on the track; suits heavy curtains that are awkward to take down.
- Sheers
- Often greyed in alley homes; washed gently one set at a time, never wrung, with the re-hang time set in the quote.
- Blackout
- Handled lightly to protect the coating on the back; existing cracks are photographed and pointed out first.
- Door curtains and room dividers
- Usually thin fabric on rings or hooks, holding dust and kitchen smells; the method follows the label and the colour test.
- Roller and Venetian blinds, motorised tracks
- Built differently from hanging curtains, so send photos of the whole blind and its mechanism for assessment before a quote.
What curtain cleaning costs in Tan Phu: examples by home
The cost is the curtain area in m² × 40,000 VND, plus 100,000 VND once per visit if the curtains are taken down and re-hung, with a 400,000 VND minimum per visit. Each layer of a double curtain counts separately. The areas below are estimates; the price is fixed once your specialist has measured.
- The rate covers every step, from colour test to steaming, and the Up Report.
- The price agreed at your home changes only with your written approval. Track repairs, replacement rings and mending are not part of this service.
- Two-bedroom Celadon City apartment
- About 17 m² across the living-room glass and two lake-facing bedrooms, with take-down and re-hang: 780,000 VND.
- Three-bedroom apartment
- About 26 m², with take-down and re-hang: 1,140,000 VND.
- Alley tube house, ground floor and two upper floors
- About 22 m², alley-door curtain and room dividers included, cleaned in place: 880,000 VND.
- Four-storey street-front townhouse
- About 38 m², with take-down and re-hang: 1,620,000 VND.
- One bedroom only
- About 5 m², cleaned in place: 400,000 VND (200,000 VND before the per-visit minimum). Adding other rooms to the same visit makes full use of the minimum.
Getting into alley homes and apartment buildings
Many Tan Phu alleys take only a motorbike, and houses sit deep inside with steep stairs. Tell us where to stop, how many floors and how high the windows are, so your specialist brings a folding ladder and compact tools; each panel taken down is numbered to go back to the right room.
In Celadon City and other developments, residents usually notify management before outside staff arrive, and are told the service lift and permitted hours. We send your specialist's details early so you can register; lobby formalities after an on-time arrival are not lateness.
- Clear the window sill and the space around the curtains.
- Mention curtains above an altar, a glass cabinet or ground-floor machinery.
- Run a fan for a few hours afterwards so the fabric dries evenly.
How often to clean curtains in a Tan Phu home
- Vacuum the face of the curtains monthly with a soft brush head.
- Large panels become very heavy when wet; keep them out of a home washing machine.
- Alley- or street-facing windows
- Every three to six months, as the curtain stays drawn almost all day.
- Near the industrial park or lorry routes
- Street-side curtains every quarter to half-year.
- Lake- or park-facing apartments
- Every 6–12 months, ideally after the rainy season.
- Little-used bedrooms
- About once a year.
Booking, and what we commit to
- Message 0968 726 135 on WhatsApp or Zalo, or use the Quote page, with photos, rough sizes and your address.
- Receive an estimate and choose a time; your specialist's name and photo arrive before the visit.
- On the day: photos as found, measuring and the fixed price, cleaning by fabric, then re-hanging for your approval.
- The Up Report comes first and payment after, by bank transfer or cash. More than 15 minutes late means 10% off that visit, and anything not up to standard is redone free if you reply within 48 hours.
