Decree 130/2003/ND-CP of 5 November 2003 created Tan Phu District out of Tan Binh District, with about 1,606.98 ha and 11 wards. Since 1 July 2025, under Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, the area has formed five wards, now the unit used in addresses. Note that today's "Tan Phu ward" is just part of the old district, and the old Son Ky was split between Tay Thanh, Tan Son Nhi and Binh Hung Hoa wards.

Tan Phu is not among our regular areas: we accept sofa bookings throughout the former district from 07:00 to 20:00 daily and confirm the slot when you book. A house number and street are enough to place you.

The multi-storey townhouse is the typical Tan Phu home, set between shopping streets and residential alleys. Many street-front houses turn the ground floor into a shop, service counter or small office and move the family living room upstairs. The front-room sofa seats waiting customers and the owner on a break, and road dust from a door open all day settles thickly on it.

Upstairs, fabric sofas are popular for being cool and easy to match, but fabric holds dust, sweat and smells longest. The rainy season runs from May to November and average relative humidity is around 79.5%; deep townhouses with few side windows ventilate poorly, so seat cushions easily turn musty.

Tan Phu also has Celadon City, set around Aeon Mall Tan Phu Celadon, which opened on 11 January 2014 at 30 Bo Bao Tan Thang in what was Son Ky ward. Most apartments there belong to young families, typically with a fabric corner sofa or a mid-sized leather one.

Fabric and microfibre

Cushion gaps and the underside are deep-vacuumed and drink marks and handprints spot-treated; spray extraction then draws the dirty water straight out, and the pile is brushed one way. In an airy room it is usually dry in 4–6 hours.

Leather

No water wash: a leather cleaner on the arms and seams, then conditioner. Usable again in about 30 minutes.

Upholstered wooden sets

Cushions are cleaned for their covering; the woodwork is dusted and wiped dry, its finish left untouched.

Assessed first from close-up photos and the care label; method and price are confirmed only when we are sure.

Rates: 130,000 VND per fabric seat, 160,000 VND per leather seat and 50,000 VND per ottoman or loose cushion. The 390,000 VND minimum applies to the whole visit, with all sofas added together. For example:

• Protection, vacuuming, colour testing, spot treatment, leather conditioning and the Up Report, our photo record of the visit, are not charged separately.
• Long-set stains may only fade; you are told first, and nothing extra is charged without your written agreement. Mattresses, rugs or curtains can join the same visit, each priced in advance.

Many apartment buildings want contractors registered first, usually with the worker's name and time slot; we send your specialist's details as soon as the booking is confirmed. In a house with a shop, your specialist needs a clear way from the door to the stairs, and stock around the sofa is covered. Waiting in the lobby after an on-time arrival is not treated as lateness.

• Clear the sofa and coffee table and put fragile items away.
• Leave a power socket free near the sofa.
• Afterwards, run a fan or the aircon and keep off damp fabric.
