Sofa cleaning in Sala and Thu Thiem — fabric and leather sofas

Sala is an urban area inside the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. Since 1 July 2025 the city has had wards, its local administrative units, and no districts: under Clause 78, Article 1 of Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15, the wards of Thu Thiem, An Loi Dong, Thao Dien and An Khanh, with the rest of An Phu, became a single An Khanh ward. Thu Thiem and An Loi Dong went in whole, so all of Sala and the Thu Thiem developments such as Empire City and The Metropole Thu Thiem now share one ward. We accept addresses written the old way or the new.

Our office is at 72 Nguyen Co Thach, inside Sala, and An Khanh is the centre of our service area. Sofa bookings run from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. Being close makes it easier to look at a sofa beforehand and to fit in an appointment, but every booking is confirmed in advance and we do not promise to arrive the same day.

Sala has several complexes, among them Sarimi, Sarica, Sarina and Sadora. According to Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, Sarimi was the first to open, in May 2016, with 353 apartments.

Sarimi alone has 45 shop units and 40 commercial townhouses (Nguoi Lao Dong, 30 May 2016), often lived in and traded from, or let as shops and offices. Reception-area sofas can be cleaned outside trading hours.

In an apartment lived in for years, the sofa is where the household sits down together every day, and where sweat, skin oils and fine dust collect most quietly. High-end apartments tend to have carefully chosen furnishings such as a leather sofa, a wool rug and timber floors; these age well with the right care and are easily harmed by the wrong solution.

Sala has a park and many trees, so fine dust and pollen settle on household fabrics, and a fabric sofa should be vacuumed regularly. In Thu Thiem, high-floor apartments beside the Saigon River often have wide glass walls that take direct sun for hours a day; when one is closed up while the owner is away, humid air can leave an odour in a fabric sofa.

Cleaning removes dust, skin oils and damp odour. It does not restore fabric already faded by the sun or leather already cracked; your Up specialist says so before starting and records it in the Up Report.

• Armrests and headrests darker than the body of the sofa.
• Leather that has lost its sheen and feels dry and slightly rough.
• Dried coffee, tea or fruit-juice marks on the fabric.

Your specialist checks the care label and the stitching and tests the solution in a hidden corner; the result decides which solution is used and how much water. The Up Standard, the procedure our specialists are trained to, sets the method for each material.

Genuine leather

No water washing. Cleaned with a solution made for leather, a soft-bristle brush and fine-fibre cloths, then conditioned so it stays supple and is less likely to dry and crack. Ready after about 30 minutes.

Fabric

The frame, cushion gaps and underside are vacuumed, the upholstery is spray-extracted so the dirty water is recovered at once, and the pile is brushed back along the weave. Usually dry in 4–6 hours with the room aired or the aircon or a fan on.

Zip-off cushion covers

Cleaned on the sofa; we do not recommend machine washing, because covers shrink and lose their shape.

After nearly ten years of use, many Sarimi owners are renewing part of their home: kitchen units, a bathroom, timber flooring, fresh paint. Fine dust from the work spreads to rooms that are not being touched, on the aircon airflow and through door gaps, and settles on the sofa. When you clean matters as much as how.

Keep the sofa covered during the work; book the clean once the contractors have removed their waste and the apartment has been cleaned of dust.

New apartment in Thu Thiem

Clear the construction dust first and bring the sofa in afterwards, so the fabric does not take up dust and paint odour. A sofa already in place during the fit-out is cleaned last.

Rental apartments

Some Thu Thiem apartments are let out, or kept while the owner lives elsewhere. A clean between two tenancies, with its Up Report, gives the handover a record.

Commercial townhouses and shop units

Clean reception-area sofas with the rest of the premises between two tenants, or at intervals outside trading hours.

Settled families

Every 6–12 months for a sofa in daily use, 6 months with young children or pets; it can be combined with the deep clean before Tết.

The rate is per seat: fabric 130,000 VND, leather 160,000 VND, ottomans and loose cushions 50,000 VND each, with a minimum of 390,000 VND per visit. The seat counts and materials below are assumptions for illustration, not specifications of any development; your price is confirmed in writing before you book.

• The seat count is agreed from the photos you send; if anything differs on site, the price changes only with your written approval.
• Carpet, curtain and mattress cleaning can be booked for the same visit, each with its own all-inclusive quote.

Apartment towers usually want service staff registered beforehand and have their own instructions on using the lifts with equipment. We do not guess at the rules of any tower in Sala or Thu Thiem; we follow the instructions you or building management give us. A wait at the lobby after an on-time arrival does not count as lateness.

• Timber floors, stone surfaces and rugs around the sofa are covered before the machine is set down.

• While fabric is damp, draw the curtains against direct sun, leave the scatter cushions off and run the aircon or a fan.

Punctuality

Arrival more than 15 minutes after the confirmed time takes 10% off the bill for that visit.

Changing or cancelling

Free with more than 24 hours' notice; within 24 hours of the appointment the fee is 30% of the booking value.

Damage

Tell us within 24 hours with photos; we compare with the photos taken at the start and take responsibility under our policy where the fault is our specialist's.
