How much does a house cleaner cost per hour in Ho Chi Minh City?
UpClean's hourly house cleaning, called Up Home, is 130,000 VND per hour for one Up specialist, and each visit is at least 3 hours. The rate is published, the number of hours is agreed before the booking is confirmed, and nothing is added on the day unless you approve it.

What is included in an hourly cleaning visit?
An hourly visit is upkeep cleaning: the work that keeps a home in order from one week to the next. In a 1–2 bedroom apartment, 3 hours is usually enough for the list below.
It does not include cooking, childcare, elderly care or work at height. Aircon, sofa, mattress and curtain cleaning are specialist jobs, booked separately at the price listed for each.
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping every room.
- Dusting furniture, shelves, handles and switches.
- Kitchen: the hob, the sink and the outside of appliances.
- Bathrooms: toilet, basin, mirrors and glass within reach.
- Changing bed linen and tidying the bedrooms.
- Taking out the rubbish and putting things back in their place.
How much does deep cleaning cost per square metre?
A deep clean is charged on floor area: 15,000 VND per m² for an apartment, 17,000 VND for a townhouse and 20,000 VND for a villa, and never less than 900,000 VND per visit. Multiply your floor area by the rate, then compare the result with the minimum.
A 2–3 bedroom apartment is usually finished in one day. For townhouses and villas, the team and the time depend on floor area and condition.

What does the deep cleaning price include, and what costs extra?
The price covers the whole home from ceiling to floor, and the team brings its own products and equipment. Ceilings, fans and light fittings are dusted within safe reach. Windows, frames, sliding-door tracks and balcony railings are cleaned. Grease comes off the hob, splashback and cabinet fronts, and limescale off taps and shower screens. Toilets, basins and tile grout are cleaned, and every floor is vacuumed and mopped, including under beds and sofas that can be reached.
The items below are outside that scope and can be added to the quote.
- Sofa, mattress, carpet, curtain and aircon cleaning: specialist services at their own listed prices.
- The insides of kitchen cabinets, the fridge and the oven: added to the quote if you ask.
- Outside glass, and anything beyond safe reach from inside the home or from the balcony floor.
- Cement dust, paint and sealant left by building work: this is post-construction cleaning, at a different rate.
- Stone floor polishing and pest control: separate services, each with its own survey.
What makes a cleaning price go up or down?
Five things move the price: floor area, home type, the condition of the home, the number of items such as aircon units or sofa seats, and the add-ons you choose. The figure is confirmed from the floor area and the photos you send, before you book.

How do payment, deposits and invoices work?
You pay after the work is done and checked. The price is all-inclusive and agreed in writing before the visit.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum charge for a cleaning visit?+
Yes. Hourly cleaning has a 3-hour minimum, which is 390,000 VND. Deep cleaning has a minimum of 900,000 VND per visit, sofa cleaning 390,000 VND, carpet cleaning 350,000 VND and curtain cleaning 400,000 VND. When the floor area or the number of seats works out below the minimum, the minimum is charged.
Do I pay extra for cleaning products and equipment?+
No. The price is all-inclusive. Up specialists bring their own products, cloths and equipment and do not use yours. Products are chosen for each surface, and a fragrance-free option is always available.
Should I book hourly cleaning or a deep clean?+
A home that has not been deep cleaned for a long time, with built-up grease, limescale or dull grout, should start with a deep clean. Once it is clean and needs only weekly upkeep, hourly visits at 130,000 VND per hour suit it better. For a single room, hourly cleaning also keeps the cost closer to the amount of work than the 900,000 VND deep-clean minimum.
Why does a new or renovated apartment cost more to clean?+
Because the work is different. Cement and plaster dust is very fine, settles in layers and smears if it is mopped too early. Paint, sealant and cement spots on glass and fittings need specialist tools and more passes, and the insides of cupboards are cleaned as well as the outsides.
Will the price change after the specialist sees my home?+
Not without your agreement. The all-inclusive price is confirmed before booking, from the floor area and the photos you provide. Extra work is explained and priced first, and the decision is yours.
Do I need to be home during the clean?+
No. A key can be left with building management, reception or family, and the walk-through can be done by video call. Your Up Report arrives when the work is finished.
