Cockroach control: your questions
Who carries out the treatment?+
Our licensed pest-control partner. UpClean surveys with them, cleans the kitchen, supervises, cleans afterwards and reports. You may ask to see the partner's details and licence before the visit.
Are German cockroaches harder to control?+
Usually, yes. They are small, breed quickly and hide deep in hinges and appliances, so treatment typically combines well-placed bait, kitchen cleaning and follow-up visits as the partner advises.
Do we need to leave home?+
Gel bait has little odour and is placed in cracks, so you usually only need to avoid the kitchen for a short time. The exact time is stated in the plan before the visit.
How soon will the cockroaches be gone?+
With bait, numbers usually fall over a few weeks rather than overnight, and you may see more of them at first. Follow-up visits are set out in your quote.
Can we clean the kitchen afterwards?+
Yes, wipe food-contact surfaces as advised, but do not clean or spray hinges, cracks or the undersides of shelves where bait has been placed.
Do you serve restaurants and cafés?+
Yes, for shophouse restaurants, cafés, bakeries and offices in our service area, scheduled on closing days or quiet hours between 07:00 and 20:00. We do not take on factories or industrial parks.
